Program Manager Job Responsibilities include: - Lead and manage end‑to‑end delivery of large, multi‑technology infrastructure upgrade programs, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines. - Drive progress, accountability, and dependency management across cross‑functional implementation teams without direct authority. - Oversee program risks, issues, and financials, including budget estimates, forecasting, and mitigation planning. - Coordinate with network, infrastructure, security, vendors, and third‑party teams to ensure successful circuit, firewall, wireless, and datacenter deployments. - Facilitate governance forums such as working groups and steering committees, providing clear executive‑level communications and program status reporting. - Continuously improve program delivery processes while operating effectively in a fast‑paced, global, and multi‑time‑zone environment. Required Qualifications: - Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). - 8+ years of experience in program/project management, with a strong focus on infrastructure and network initiatives. - Proven network and infrastructure background, including understanding of circuit delivery, routers, firewalls, wireless technologies, and datacenter fundamentals. - Excellent client‑facing and executive communication skills, with the ability to manage vendors, global teams, and stakeholders across multiple time zones. Role Description We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Battery Transportation Safety Program at UL Standards & Engagement. This role is open to the following locations: Evanston, IL, Washington DC, RTP, NC or remote within the US. The Senior Manager, Battery Transportation Safety Program is responsible for spearheading global initiatives and leading ongoing safety programs within the transportation sectors to advance the mission of UL Standards & Engagement (ULSE) to make the world safer, more secure, and sustainable.
