Intake Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Role Description As an Intake Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Blackbird Health, you'll play an essential role in delivering comprehensive psychiatric intake evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults. You'll build meaningful connections with patients and families from the very start of their care journey, spending the necessary time to understand their needs, educate them about care options, and ensure a seamless transition into ongoing treatment. Working alongside an interdisciplinary team, you'll be empowered to make a tangible difference in the lives of young patients and their families from day one. This remote role requires a minimum of 10 hours per week. Qualifications - Active PMHNP license in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania or New Jersey - A minimum of 2 years experience working independently in the role of a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner - A minimum of 1 year experience working with children, adolescents or young adults under any nursing license - Board Certification by ANCC or AANP (PMHNP-BC) - DEA license and State Prescriptive Authority License - Autonomous Practice Status - Computer, phone and high speed internet - Experience with Google Suite, EHR systems and tech knowledge - Commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week Requirements - Mission-Driven: Passionate about transforming behavioral health for youth and committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate psychiatric care. - Clinically Excellent: Experience working with children and adolescents as a psychiatric nurse practitioner and practiced independently at the top of your scope for at least two years under licensure. - Relationship-Focused: Excel at building meaningful connections with patients and families from the very first session. - Collaborative: Thrive in team-based environments and love working alongside psychotherapists, specialists, and interdisciplinary colleagues. - Growth-Oriented: Open to feedback and eager to learn and grow in a supportive clinical community. - Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using technology, including Google Suite, Electronic Medical Records systems and other virtual platforms.
