Job Summary We are seeking an RVP of Lending-Retail who will be responsible for driving growth and profitability in the designated market segment(s) by leading the development and execution of business development strategies. You will provide direct leadership to lending teams, execute sales, marketing, and credit coaching for agricultural loan products and related services, and actively develop relationships with key customers and prospects while working closely with other leaders and teams to identify and coordinate market opportunities, align specialized team resources, and ensure optimal customer experiences. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Business Development: - Lead the development and execution of the Association's business development strategies in the designated market segment(s). Work closely with other leaders and teams to ensure a seamless approach to identify and coordinate market opportunities and align the most effective specialized team resources to deliver the optimal customer experience. - Provide direct leadership to lending teams in the execution of sales, marketing, and credit coaching for agricultural loan products and related services in the designated market areas. Actively develop relationships with key customers and prospects across the assigned market segments. - Actively involved in implementing changing marketplace delivery models to ensure that the Association objectives are met. Responsible for executing product pricing strategies and product enhancements to tailor products to meet customer needs while achieving organizational goals. - Develop and maintain a highly visible professional presence and serve as the primary point of contact for peer level relationships throughout the agricultural industry, Farm Credit System, and government sectors. - Lead/serve on cross-functional and assigned standing teams. Credit Administration: - Provide leadership, direction and counsel to the delivery of Association credit philosophy. Has direct involvement/understanding of key accounts, including monitoring of teams for compliance to credit procedures and policies. - Hold team accountable for effective credit administration, and compliance with established procedures and policies. Counsel teammates to ensure an appropriate balance of growth, profitability and credit quality Leadership Duties - Share leadership with team members by empowering them to make decisions. This includes allowing them to take initiative, providing access to information and resources and holding them accountable. Encourage team members to act autonomously and to contribute ideas and solutions. - Provide team leadership, shared vision, and positive communications to achieve the Associations’ vision and strategy consistent with the Associations’ core values and team principles. Build strong relationships and collaborative partnerships within the Associations to understand the business opportunities and challenges. - Establish a positive, participative, and collaborative team environment that inspires creative, high-performing, continuous learning, and engaged team members. Utilize consensus decision-making, when appropriate, to diversify thinking and enable and empower teammates. - Responsible for attracting, selecting, and on-boarding a diverse and qualified team and determining the appropriate team resource requirements to meet the Associations’ strategic direction. - Develop team members through coaching, training and development, opportunities, and on-going performance feedback including timely follow-up on individual development plans, counsel team members on Talent Management activities. - Complete and/or recommend salary administration for team members in accordance with Association procedures. - Develop and monitor the business plan and annual operating budgets related to areas of responsibility. Review and approve operational expenditures within delegated authority. Travel Time - Percentage of time required to travel during the day - 40% - Percentage of time required to travel overnight - 15% Education Requirements - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, Business Administration, Agriculture, Economics or Finance preferred. Years of Experience - 8+ years of experience including prior leadership experience, Marketing and sales of financial products and services. - Ability to lead team members via remote methods to include phone, email and video conferencing with occasional faced-to-face interactions. - Demonstrated ability to appropriately delegate work, empowering others to lead.
