Role Description At tkMNA, we provide a foundation to foster and support a safe, professional, and fulfilling experience. This Data Internship is designed to provide hands-on experience and on-the-job training for college students interested in analytics, machine learning, and data-driven decision making. Interns will work on real-world data projects of varying complexity, gaining exposure to data collection, cleaning, analysis, and modeling techniques. This role supports professional data analysis and cross-functional teams, enabling interns to build practical skills and apply academic knowledge in a business environment. Qualifications - Currently enrolled in or recently graduated (within 1 year) from an accredited university or college in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field - Basic understanding of data analysis, statistics, and/or machine learning concepts - Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R - Experience with data tools such as SQL, Excel, or data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus - Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively, both orally and in writing - Ability to understand and follow complex technical instructions - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn new technologies and methodologies - Ability to think critically, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment Requirements - Learn organizational data processes, systems, and governance practices - Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preparing structured and unstructured data for analysis - Contribute to assigned data science or analytics projects, including exploratory data analysis and model development - Support the creation and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data documentation - Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand business problems and translate them into data-driven solutions - Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights - Communicate findings clearly through visualizations, presentations, and written summaries - Work in a team environment, communicating effectively with technical and non-technical personnel - Assemble and deliver information in a timely and efficient manner - Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed Benefits - Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance - Life Insurance and Disability - Voluntary Wellness Programs - 401(k) or RRSP programs with Company Match - Paid Vacation and Holidays - Tuition Reimbursement - And more!
