Senior DevOps, Platform Engineer
Kaseware
• Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS commercial environments supporting Kaseware’s customer deployments • Administer and operate Kubernetes clusters (AKS, EKS), including upgrades, networking, RBAC, storage, and platform-level tooling • Author, modify, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform – including modules, state management, and multi-environment deployment patterns • Implement and operate GitOps continuous delivery using ArgoCD; build and maintain workflows with Argo Workflows where applicable • Author and maintain Helm charts – templating, dependencies, and release management • Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automation across the development and deployment lifecycle • Instrument, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud and Kubernetes workloads using Datadog and other observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic stack, Fluentd, Istio, etc.) • Support customer installations and consult on deployment topology for both cloud and on-premises environments • Administer development environments and developer tooling that keep engineering teams productive • Participate in production incident response and on-call rotations across distributed time zones, supporting any Kaseware system other than U.S. federal government protected environments • Contribute new ideas, tools, and patterns to the Kaseware technical stack – we encourage every team member to innovate
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles
- Strong Kubernetes platform expertise, including cluster lifecycle management, networking, RBAC, CSI / storage classes and provisioners, and ingress controllers (NGINX or comparable); fluent with kubectl
- Hands-on Terraform experience – able to write new modules, modify existing ones, manage state, and operate multi-environment workflows
- Production experience with ArgoCD and GitOps deployment patterns; familiarity with Argo Workflows is a plus
- Helm chart authoring – templating, dependencies, releases, and CLI usage
- Container technologies (Docker, BuildKit, container registries) including image authoring, local testing, and registry management
- Comprehensive Linux administration and command-line proficiency
- Cloud platform experience with Azure and AWS commercial environments; AKS and EKS in particular
- Cloud database and data services, especially PostgreSQL; experience with NoSQL stores such as ArangoDB or MongoDB is a plus
- Observability and monitoring – production experience with Datadog and/or comparable tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Fluentd, and Istio
- Networking concepts, technologies, and troubleshooting (DNS, TLS, routing, load balancing)
- CI/CD pipeline design and implementation experience (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or comparable platforms); strong understanding of software development lifecycle and workflows
- Comprehensive understanding of Git repositories, branching strategies, and the Git CLI
- Scripting and/or programming proficiency in Bash and Python
- Demonstrated ability to manage and automate deployments for complex applications across cloud and on-premises environments
- Single Sign-On and Identity Provider experience, especially Keycloak (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to collaborate effectively across distributed teams and time zones
- Ability to work independently, prioritize against team objectives, and operate effectively in an asynchronous remote environment
