Role Description The Infrastructure Engineer III role is responsible for the operations of secure and highly available computing platforms, servers, and networks. This role includes: - Installing, maintaining, upgrading, and continuously improving the Company’s operating environment. - Monitoring operating environments and responding to incidents and problems. - Planning for growth and deploying new technologies. - Troubleshooting problems reported by users and maintaining a secure systems environment. - Collaborating with SMEs, database administrators, and vendors to provide viable solutions. - Providing proactive support for application servers, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLA). - Mentoring and engaging less senior staff. - Analyzing complex local and wide area network systems. - Configuring systems to user environments and supporting hardware/software acquisition. - Leading groups/committees related to processes, standards, and best practices. - Optimizing network infrastructure for performance and security. - Designing and architecting the enterprise network and security systems. - Providing 24 x 7 support as needed. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field required. - 7 years’ experience within an IT environment. - One year of relevant experience supporting personal computers in a multi-site, multi-platform environment preferred. - Experience within the insurance industry highly preferred. - Certification or progress toward certification of industry-recognized professional designation preferred and encouraged. Requirements - Consistent and proficient demonstration of required job SKA exceeding standard job expectations. - Exceptional customer support with a proven track record of positive outcomes. - Advanced knowledge of IT systems, including networking, server, storage, and applications. - Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and perform other assignments outside the office.
