• Define the end-to-end design strategy for the Foundations pillar, including supplier onboarding, identity, profiles, navigation, and shared platform capabilities. Translate business goals and platform constraints into a clear, long-term vision that connects Grow, Transact, and the broader Coupa product ecosystem. • Lead the design of foundational, cross-product experiences that enable suppliers to move seamlessly across Coupa. Ensure that core systems and workflows feel coherent, trustworthy, and easy to use, even as complexity scales behind the scenes. • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations leaders to shape platform roadmaps, define shared requirements, and make thoughtful tradeoffs. Advocate for supplier clarity and consistency while balancing technical and organizational constraints. • Help define how AI supports foundational supplier experiences, from guided onboarding and profile intelligence to proactive recommendations that help suppliers discover and access the right Coupa capabilities at the right time. • Produce high-quality flows, components, prototypes, interaction specifications, and end-to-end service experience maps that align teams on how the supplier platform works. Set a high bar for craft, clarity, and scalability through your own work. • Lead and collaborate on research with a global range of suppliers to understand onboarding challenges, trust signals, and cross-product friction. Translate insights into platform-level improvements that benefit the entire supplier experience. • Work closely with the Design Systems team to evolve shared patterns, components, and platform conventions. Ensure foundational experiences scale across web and mobile and remain consistent across Grow, Transact, and other Coupa products.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of product design experience designing complex B2B SaaS, platform, or marketplace products, ideally in environments with multiple products, users, or integrations.
- A proven ability to simplify complexity, demonstrated through work on foundational or high-stakes workflows such as onboarding, identity, permissions, configuration, or cross-product experiences.
- Systems thinking, with an understanding of how data, identity, trust, and workflows move through an ecosystem over time.
- Strong design craft, including expert-level Figma skills and experience contributing to mature design systems and shared platform patterns. You lead by example and raise the bar for those around you.
- Clear communication and influence, with the ability to align cross-functional partners, tell compelling product stories, and collaborate closely with engineering on scalable solutions and tradeoffs.
- Builder mindset: You are proactive and take initiative, work independently, and thrive in environments with ambiguity, ownership, and high standards.

Role Description The Instructional Designer manages, designs and develops employee learning programs in align with organization goal and training needs. Consults with subject matter experts to provide course content and training curriculum. Tracks employee performance and measures training outcomes and conducts assessment and analysis to identify new development needs and recommends training methods accordingly. The Instructional Designer will identify the skills, knowledge, and close the communication gaps to deliver high-quality training for the employees. • Own product design end-to-end on the merchant team, from discovery and user research through final UI and shipping with engineers • Lead user research: run merchant interviews and surveys, hop on sales and customer calls, and turn what you learn into clear product direction • Partner with engineering and the founding team to define the merchant roadmap, scope features, and ship quickly without sacrificing craft • Design clear, well-considered user flows in Figma and the visual UI to support them • Use AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Cowork, v0, etc.) to prototype, validate, and iterate on ideas faster than traditional design workflows allow • Collaborate with our team on evolving and maintaining the Flex design system • Pitch in across the company when needed (the occasional marketing asset, website tweak, or one-off) without needing it to be your job description • Contribute to a culture of learning, problem-solving, and operational excellence
