Role Description - This role is 75% travel and remote when not traveling. - Support system adaptation activities, including data configuration, site-specific customization and integration. - Analyze and modify XML files used for system configuration and data exchange. - Assist with installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware systems at FAA facilities. - Develop and maintain technical documentation, including configuration records and site reports. - Work closely with engineers, technicians and FAA stakeholders to ensure timely support. - Comply with all FAA safety, security and quality standards during on-site work and travel. - Serve as the primary point of contact for implementation activities for assigned TFDM Sites. - Develop Site Implementation Plans (SIP), and other supporting documentation to guide field deployments. - Coordinate with FAA to plan and execute system cutovers and deployments. - Support readiness assessments and ensure all prerequisites are met for implementation. - Participate in coordination meetings with engineering, program management, and operational stakeholders. - Track site readiness status, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely and effective deployment. - Conduct site briefings as needed to prepare operational personnel for system implementation. - Provide implementation status reporting to program management, FAA leadership, and other stakeholders. • Own and administer the SentinelOne platform across workstations, servers, and Kubernetes workloads. • Ensure SentinelOne agents are deployed, healthy, and running supported versions across all environments (Windows, macOS, Linux, Kubernetes). • Evaluate and adopt emerging AI‑powered security features and tooling to enhance detection fidelity and reduce operational noise. • Monitor the SentinelOne management console for agent health, policy compliance, and security events; troubleshoot and remediate issues as needed. • Stay current on SentinelOne releases, features, and advisories; plan and execute agent upgrades to address bugs, vulnerabilities, and enhancements. • Partner with incident response teams and business units to investigate alerts, support containment and remediation, and participate in post‑incident reviews. • Leverage AI‑driven capabilities within XDR, endpoint, and security platforms to improve alert triage, threat prioritization, and response workflows. • Collaborate with security leadership to responsibly introduce AI technologies while considering governance, data protection, and risk. • Administer and support Tanium for patch deployment and vulnerability remediation. • Own the patching lifecycle for endpoints and servers, including: patch assessment and prioritization, testing and validation, deployment orchestration, post‑deployment verification and reporting. • Use Tanium modules to track patch compliance, maintain accurate application inventory, and reduce exposure windows. • Coordinate patching activities with infrastructure, application, and business teams to minimize operational impact. • Respond to emerging vulnerabilities (zero‑days, actively exploited CVEs) with rapid mitigation or patch deployment. • Develop and maintain patching standards, maintenance windows, and compliance metrics. • Perform general system administration across production and non‑production environments. • Maintain, configure, and support Windows, macOS, and Linux systems at enterprise scale. • Leverage third‑party monitoring tools to ensure endpoint and system availability, performance, and reliability. • Serve as the highest tier of technical escalation for complex system and security issues. • Manage vendor relationships and escalations for endpoint, security, and infrastructure platforms. • Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages to improve operational efficiency and consistency. • Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to service desk and junior engineers. • Participate in an on‑call rotation supporting production systems as required.
Title: SOA Systems Engineer (MQ/DP/IIB) Location: Kansas City United States Job Description: The SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) Infrastructure team provides support for our IBM products/appliances (i.e. DataPower, MQ, IIB) that are widely used in the banking and financial services industry to provide services such as authentication, authorization, API management, message translation, and message queueing. These services together represent the platform upon which web services can quickly and easily be developed and accessed/consumed both by internal applications or external clients. The team ensures this platform is performing at peak capacity to avoid any business disruption. As a SOA Systems Engineer, you will be part of a team involved in making sure these services are functioning properly through successful performance and coordination of activities involving triage / troubleshooting, patching, and software implementations / upgrades just to name a few. This is a subset of the overall responsibilities which will include multiple initiatives assigned by IT leadership. This role is hybrid (Mon through Thu on-site / Fri remote) for candidates in the Kansas City metropolitan area and open to qualified remote candidates outside of the Kansas City area. However, the remote location must be within the US. How you will spend your time: - Work closely with all levels of IT to coordinate the service support and delivery of middleware technologies with multiple teams from application development to infrastructure. - Coordinate, escalate, resolve, and close issues from service requests to change management assigned to the SOA Infrastructure team. - Assist and champion triage and troubleshooting of production and non-production middleware/SOA technologies. - Perform patching, software implementation, and upgrades.
