Job Description

Transformer Sourcing Manager

ABB

• Develop and coordinate all Supply Chain Management activities related to Supplier Development and Supplier Relationship Management • Build and maintain the planning of the Global Transformer Supplier Portfolio • Provide comprehensive supply market intelligence for transformers • Drive supplier development activities • Negotiate and close frame agreements • Manage supplier relationships with key sources • Forecast demand and ensure clear communication and coordination with suppliers • Collaborate closely with internal disciplines (Engineering, Quality, Sales) • Support local Sourcing Managers • Collaborate with other ABB units and stakeholders to unlock synergies • Lead troubleshooting activities and manage claims • Assist and provide consultancy to Sales, PMO, Engineering, and other functions • Deliver SCM-related training and coaching to Procurement and Logistics staff

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering and/or Economics
  • More than five years of experience in strategic and operational Supply Chain Management or comparable commercial functions
  • Proficient in professional sourcing methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Experience working with ERP systems
  • Proven experience in procurement, including supplier negotiations and contractual topics
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of German is an advantage; additional languages strengthen your international profile
