**What You'll Do:** As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining the Validaide platform, a critical tool used by pharmaceutical companies and logistics providers worldwide. You will: - Design, develop, and maintain backend features in the Validaide platform - Own and improve services, tools, and processes to ensure operational excellence - Collaborate with QA, product owners, and fellow developers to deliver secure and maintainable features - Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews - Develop and maintain automated tests using PHPUnit and Behat - Create and update technical documentation for new and existing systems - Optimise performance and scalability of the application - Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and EU GMP Annex 11
Job Requirements
- What You'll Bring:**
- 6+ years of experience in software development
- Strong programming skills in PHP and Symfony, with solid MySQL knowledge
- Experience working in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments
- Familiarity with frontend technologies (Twig, Vue.js, vanilla JS, jQuery)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), deployment tools (Ansible), and test automation (Behat)
- Comfortable working in English and collaborating across teams
- Interest in contributing to meaningful work in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
- Willingness to learn new technologies (e.g., Java/Spring Boot, React.js)
- Open to long-term growth with the team

Role Description As a Backend Software Engineer in the Applications Team, you will help build and maintain the backend services that power Sparetech’s customer-facing web application. You’ll work closely with frontend engineers (React/TypeScript), Product, and Design to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable user-facing workflows (e.g., collaboration, search, material management, BOM self-service, Insights). - Be a central pillar for the success of SPARETECH in the early stages of our startup by contributing your own ideas and participating in decisions. - Continuously develop your skills through hands-on learning and access to the latest technologies. - Own features end-to-end: from requirements and technical design to implementation, testing, rollout, and support. - Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a focus on delivering high quality solutions on time. - Solve complex product problems and collaborate with a cross-functional team of product managers, designers, and fellow engineers. Qualifications - 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience with JVM-based languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala). - Hands-on experience building and maintaining backend systems in cross-functional teams. - Working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and query optimization. - Collaborative approach to working and communication with stakeholders, product managers, designers, and engineers across the stack. - Comfortable debugging and resolving issues in distributed systems / production environments autonomously. - Care about clean code, testing, performance, and pragmatic software craftsmanship.
