As a Correctional Psychiatrist, you will oversee clinical responsibility for the mental health programs within the facility, while working alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex mental health needs. Responsibilities The Psychiatrist is responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnosing mental health conditions to facility residents that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Title: Telehealth Psychiatrist - P/T Location: Remote (Allentown, Pennsylvania, US) Department: Clinical Services Part Time Job Description: Telehealth Psychiatrist Schedule:Minimum of 4 hours a week Compensation: 1099, to be determined by experience Location: telehealth or on-site Responsibilities: - The position is for a psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services for an 8-bed Long-Term Structured Residence (LTSR). - Focuses on delivering high-quality, recovery-oriented psychiatric care to adults with serious mental illness in a structured residential setting. - The psychiatrist will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary treatment team to support stabilization, continuity of care, and long-term recovery. - Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications ensuring that treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed - The psychiatrist will create individualized treatment plans that include medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions. - The psychiatrist will maintain up to date medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care. - Maintain and monitor confidentiality of patients and their files; audit files to determine that all services provided are documented; review status of patients to verify that all treatment and therapeutic programs are completed. - Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute psychiatric episodes, and work to prevent incidents through proactive mental health management - Endeavor to comply with the requirements of applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards and/or contract.
