Role Description Senior Product & Regulatory Lawyer in the Legal team. As part of Hostinger's Legal team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that Hostinger’s products and features comply with relevant laws and industry standards by: - Proactively assessing legal risks - Reviewing new developments - Providing strategic guidance - Drafting and reviewing contracts - Developing internal policies to support business objectives In this role, you'll collaborate closely with product, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to develop legally compliant and business-friendly solutions, ensuring regulatory adherence while supporting innovation and growth. Your day-to-day - Ensure Hostinger’s products comply with relevant laws and industry standards (e.g., DSA, DMCA, Misleading and Comparative Advertising Directive, cybersecurity best practices). - Collaborate with business stakeholders (Hostinger’s product, marketing, and other teams) by analyzing and responding to their requests in a legally compliant and business-oriented manner. - Be proactive and updated on legal and regulatory developments in relevant industries, taking necessary actions as required. - Develop and update internal procedures and documents to ensure legal compliance with applicable laws and regulations, especially in the hosting and domain industries. - Draft, review, evaluate, negotiate, and provide support for various ongoing commercial contracts (software, technologies, marketing, and other vendor agreements). - Create and maintain standard agreements and set up processes that make everyday tasks easier, reducing the need for constant legal support. - Undertake special projects, legal team initiatives, organizational tasks, and efforts in legal prevention and compliance. Qualifications - Master's degree in Law (LL.M.) with at least 8 years of hands-on law experience as an in-house counsel or in a law firm, preferably in the tech sector. - Proficiency in providing legal guidance to business stakeholders across diverse legal matters. - Good at legal risk assessment, considering business strategy while staying detail-oriented. - Strong curiosity and ability to thoroughly investigate unfamiliar issues for informed decision-making. - Excellent organizational problem-solving, analytical, communication, and team player skills. - Excellent written and oral communication skills, both in Lithuanian and English. - Experience working with regulatory or IP law-related matters would be an advantage. • Serve as a legal subject‑matter expert supporting VOIE products and initiatives in Canada and South Africa, providing advisory guidance on privacy, consumer reporting, consent models, and data‑use requirements • Advise Product, Technology, Operations, Privacy, and Compliance teams on legal considerations impacting VOIE product design, enhancements, and market execution • Apply legal judgment to assess complex regulatory issues and recommend compliant, practical approaches within established enterprise legal frameworks • Provide subject‑matter guidance on applicable laws and regulations, including PIPEDA and provincial privacy laws in Canada, and POPIA and related requirements in South Africa • Partner with cross‑functional teams to review data flows, consent mechanisms, disclosures, and verification workflows for regulatory alignment • Support regulatory readiness activities by assisting with responses to regulatory inquiries, audits, or examinations related to VOIE, in coordination with Compliance and senior Legal leadership • Provide review and guidance on VOIE‑related agreements within regional scope, including payroll or HCM provider contracts, verifier agreements, and data‑use arrangements • Identify legal risks related to data accuracy, access permissions, partner ecosystems, and operational processes, and advise on mitigation strategies • Support dispute resolution, reinvestigations, and legal escalations related to VOIE products, escalating issues with broader implications as appropriate • Collaborate across functions to translate complex legal requirements into clear, actionable guidance for business and technical stakeholders
