Role Description We’re looking for a Machine Learning Engineering Intern to join us for a 12-week, part-time engagement (30 hours/week). This is a paid, fully remote role based in the U.S. This isn’t a typical internship. You’ll work on a high-impact, greenfield project: designing and building agentic tools to automate workflows across our HR consulting and recruiting operations. Qualifications - Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field. - Hands-on experience with Python and common ML/AI tooling (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or similar). - Familiarity with LLM ecosystems (e.g., OpenAI APIs, LangChain, vector databases, prompt design). - Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working with ambiguous requirements. - Ability to move quickly from idea to prototype to production-ready solution. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. - Highly self-motivated: you take initiative, seek ownership, and don’t wait for direction. - Comfort working independently in a remote, fast-paced, startup-like environment. Role Description The Student Learning Assistant provides academic learning support for students as directed, including tutoring students, performing other learning support duties, and assisting with the daily operations of the college’s learning centers. Specific Duties and Responsibilities - Provides educational assistance to students in specific disciplines to improve comprehension and mastery of the subject, working in a center and online as assigned. - Assists in preparation of workshops and materials to enhance student comprehension and supplement course assignments. - Integrates study strategy techniques with course content. - Provides individual and group instruction to students on a variety of subjects onsite or online as assigned. - Keeps regular and accurate records using required software, related forms, and submits appropriate paperwork in a timely manner. - Engages in promoting and presenting information about academic support services and resources at the Centers for Learning Excellence. - Assists in serving as a Centers for Learning Excellence liaison with faculty and staff in the interest of student success, as directed by supervisor. - Participates in required departmental training, workshops, and meetings. - Has access to a remote working site that is safe and free from interruptions, and to a reliable internet connection sufficient to perform job duties remotely as required. - Performs other duties as assigned. Role Description The Senior Machine Learning Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and deploying scalable machine learning systems that drive business impact. This role will partner closely with data scientists, AI Technical Product Owners, and engineering teams to integrate machine learning capabilities into real business processes. The emphasis is on operational excellence, scalability, and long-term maintainability rather than research and experimentation. Essential Functions - Design and implement end to end machine learning pipelines that support data ingestion, feature generation, model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring. - Operationalize models in coordination with data scientists and ensure they run reliably with requisite alerts and monitoring in production environments. - Build reusable frameworks and patterns that reduce friction when deploying new models or updating existing ones. - Ensure pipelines are secure, auditable, and appropriate for use in regulated enterprise environments. - Own and evolve the MLOps toolchain that supports model versioning, artifact management, experiment tracking, and deployment workflows. - Implement continuous integration and deployment practices for machine learning systems. - Establish monitoring and alerting for model performance, data quality, drift, and system health. - Partner with cloud and platform teams to manage compute resources, cost controls, and environment configurations. - Work with application engineering teams to integrate machine learning outputs into downstream systems and user workflows. - Support real time and batch inference patterns depending on business needs. - Ensure that machine learning services meet performance, reliability, and availability expectations for production use. - Collaborate closely with data scientists to shape models that are production ready and operationally sustainable. - Provide guidance on feature engineering, model packaging, and performance tradeoffs from a deployment perspective. - Document standards, patterns, and best practices for building and operating machine learning systems. - Contribute to the maturation of the organization’s overall AI and ML engineering discipline. - Other duties as assigned.
