ERP Administrator

Role Description The ERP Administrator for Construction will oversee the day-to-day administration, support, and optimization of the company's ERP system. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the construction industry and a deep understanding of core business processes, including project tracking, job costing, and resource allocation. This role is crucial for ensuring the ERP system aligns with business needs, maintaining data integrity, and driving operational efficiency across all construction projects. Responsibilities - System management and maintenance: - Perform regular system maintenance, including applying updates, patches, and security configurations to ensure optimal performance. - Manage user access, roles, and permissions within the ERP system to maintain data security and control. - Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, or user access in a timely manner. - Support and training: - Provide first and second-line support to all end-users, addressing technical and functional questions related to the ERP system. - Develop and deliver training sessions and documentation to ensure effective user adoption and understanding of the system's functionalities. - Act as the primary point of contact for all system-related matters within the organization. - Configuration and process improvement: - Collaborate with key stakeholders across project management, finance, and procurement to identify business needs and translate them into ERP solutions. - Assist in customizing and configuring ERP modules to optimize and standardize business processes, from project bidding to accounting. - Support the implementation and integration of new modules or system enhancements. - Data integrity and reporting: - Oversee data control and integrity by creating and running regular reports and audits. - Assist in creating, modifying, and maintaining dashboards and reports to provide leadership with key business insights on project status, finances, and resource usage. - Ensure all data related to projects, materials, equipment, and workforce is accurate and up-to-date. - Vendor management: - Serve as the main point of contact for the ERP software vendor, managing support tickets and tracking the status of system changes and upgrades. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Proven experience as an ERP Administrator, with a minimum of 2-5 years in a construction environment. - Strong understanding of construction-specific business processes, including project management, estimation, accounting, and supply chain logistics. - In-depth knowledge of construction-centric ERP systems, such as Xpedeon. - Finance knowledge is preferred. - Proficiency in SQL or other database management tools. - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. - Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. - Project management skills with the ability to manage timelines and resources effectively. Preferred Qualifications - Relevant ERP or project management certifications (e.g., PMP). - Experience with ERP system integration and data migration. - Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Pre-Award Activities - Assist faculty in identifying funding opportunities and ensuring eligibility for grant submissions. - Prepare and coordinate the submission of research grant applications, including reviewing and ensuring compliance with all guidelines, formatting, and timelines. - Develop budgets for grant proposals, ensuring appropriate allocation of resources and alignment with sponsor requirements. - Liaise with the Office of Sponsored Programs and other internal departments to submit applications and address issues. Post-Award Activities - Monitor awarded grants and contracts, ensuring funds are spent in accordance with sponsor regulations and institutional policies. - Prepare financial reports and reconciliations for research projects, working closely with the finance department and principal investigators (PIs). Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree. Certified Research Administrator certification through the Research Administrators Certification Council (RACC) may substitute for the degree requirement. - Two years of relevant experience.
