Director – Sales Manager, PLM/CAD Software and Services

Waltonen Engineering

• Partner with senior management to shape and execute the company’s overall business strategy. • Design, communicate, and implement strategic plans to support both short and long term growth objectives. • Identify new market opportunities and lead initiatives to expand the company’s footprint in targeted industries. • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes. • Build, manage, and mentor the sales, marketing and technical teams to ensure high performance and continuous professional development. • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve organizational goals. • Oversee and refine sales pipelines, performance metrics, and forecasting accuracy. • Develop and sustain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention. • Actively pursue cross sell and upsell opportunities within the existing customer base. • Oversee day to day operations, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and operational efficiency. • Set clear policies, procedures, and best practices to support scalable business operations. • Manage departmental budgets, optimize expenses, and ensure profitable performance across business units. • Direct the creation of sales presentations, proposals, and quotation packages to support business development activities. • Collaborate with technical teams to refine service offerings and introduce new solutions based on market demand. • Deliver timely performance reports and strategic updates to senior leadership.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of software sales experience with a strong focus on solution based selling.
  • Background in Siemens PLM software preferred; experience with comparable platforms (Ansys, SolidWorks, Autodesk, etc.) also considered.
  • Demonstrated success managing and scaling sales teams in a technical or engineering focused environment.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with business planning, forecasting, and negotiation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • High degree of self motivation with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general digital literacy.
