• Design and develop cloud‑based infrastructure, platforms, and services aligned with technical and security requirements. • Select appropriate cloud platforms, architectures, and deployment models (public, private, hybrid, or multi‑cloud). • Create and maintain cloud architecture diagrams and technical documentation. • Deploy new applications and migrate existing workloads from on‑premises or legacy environments to the cloud. • Develop and manage automation and infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) for cloud provisioning and lifecycle management. • Monitor cloud system performance, availability, and reliability. • Optimize cloud environments for cost efficiency, scalability, and high availability. • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and application issues. • Implement and manage cloud security controls, including IAM, networking, logging, and encryption. • Ensure compliance with organizational, industry, and government security standards. • Collaborate with developers, architects, system administrators, and cybersecurity teams.
Job Requirements
- Experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, networking, storage, and compute services
- Proficiency with infrastructure‑as‑code and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates)
- Experience supporting application deployment and migration to cloud environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance management tools
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, and data protection
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to collaborate across technical teams and stakeholders

Role Description Snell & Wilmer is looking for a mid-level Messaging & Cloud Engineer to join our IT team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the design, administration, and support of our cloud messaging and collaboration platforms, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365. You’ll work cross-functionally with Security, Systems, and Help Desk teams to keep our communication infrastructure running smoothly and securely. This is a primarily remote role, with occasional onsite support and travel as business needs arise.
