Engineering Manager – Tech Lead, Trading Systems

• Drive architectural decisions and design scalable, robust systems with deep technical leadership in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure • Serve as the primary technical liaison with regulatory bodies; answer regulatory questions, ensure system compliance with frameworks, and translate regulatory requirements into technical roadmaps • Manage delivery commitments, drive incident readiness, and ensure operational excellence across teams and products • Build trusted relationships with external stakeholders (regulators, clients, partners); communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and serve as trusted advisor • Collaborate with Product, Business, and Compliance teams to solve complex problems, shape product strategy, and align on mission-critical initiatives • Drive continuous improvement in code quality, system reliability, and team capability

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of software product engineering experience, preferably in cloud computing, SaaS, fintech, regulated environments, or eCommerce; 3+ years leading engineering teams
  • Hands-on technical expertise in backend, infrastructure, or full-stack engineering with strong experience in modern tech stacks (Java/Spring Boot, microservices, AWS, Kafka, MySQL, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience working in regulated industries or with compliance frameworks; ability to understand and translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable engaging with executives, regulators, non-technical partners, and cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to mentor, coach, and develop high-performing engineers; track record of scaling teams and building strong engineering cultures
  • Strong experience designing scalable systems, managing cloud infrastructure costs, and leading large-scale technical initiatives from concept to production
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience); familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools and modern development practices
  • Bilingual English/Korean** is required to be able to coordinate with overseas partners and stakeholders
