GSA IT Software Quality Assurance Engineer and Tester

Role Description The QA Engineer & Tester supports GSA’s internal HR systems by executing test activities across the software development lifecycle. This role performs hands-on testing, documents results, identifies defects, and collaborates closely with developers and analysts to ensure high-quality HR system releases. Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Execute test cases and document results for HR system features and enhancements. - Identify, report, and track software defects through resolution. - Participate in test planning and assist in developing test cases and scenarios. - Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT). - Create and maintain test data and support test environment setup. - Collaborate with developers to understand requirements, features, and expected behavior. - Document test procedures and maintain test artifacts. - Assist in developing and maintaining test automation scripts under guidance. Qualifications - US Citizen - BA/BS in Computer Science or related field + 2 to 4 years of QA experience. - Experience participating in the full SDLC and STLC, from requirements review through release. - Hands-on experience with functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
