• Lead a team of Data Engineers with varied experience level to design and build data pipelines from various data sources to a target data warehouse using real-time and batch data load strategies utilizing cutting edge cloud technologies. • Serve as a people leader by directly mentoring and coaching engineers, supporting formal performance review cycles, and providing regular, actionable feedback to drive individual growth and team success. • Work with a cross functional team of business stakeholders, engineering leaders, data analysts and data scientists to formulate both business and technical requirements. • Partner with business and data leaders to understand broader business strategies and define a roadmap outlining how the team will support and enable key initiatives. • Establish and enforce standards for documenting data platform designs, including logical and physical data models, metadata, ETL specifications, and end-to-end integration workflows. • Design processes for ensuring data quality and integrity while providing timely responses to ad hoc requests. • Lead and execute proof-of-concepts where appropriate to assess, validate, and improve technical processes and approaches.

Role Description - Act as the functional and technical lead for Kafka implementation - Enabling real time capabilities – designing application and proposing architecture for real time applications - Managing architecture for performance tuning related to Kafka - Working with the development team of 5-6 developers on the implementation of Kafka - Provide input to the development team to implement Kafka Qualifications - Confluent or Apache Kafka experience (Apache preferred) – implementing from scratch, OnPrem and also Cloud (Azure or AWS, mostly Azure here) - Hands-on experience building Real time data streaming experience (ex: Rest APIs) ex: streaming change data capture - 3+ years of Architecture design experience within Kafka - 3+ years SQL query and debugging, performance improvement experience is an absolute must - 3+ years hands-on development in Web Technologies – Angular or React, .Net to create RestAPIs very highly preferred (must for now) - AI assisted coding experience a must using Github Copilot or similar tools Requirements - Healthcare prior experience to understand healthcare data - EDI 834 and 820 knowledge - FACETS, FACETS extensions, and Member experience a must and surrounding application areas - FHIR API experience a bonus
