Role Description Serves as primary operations consultant for Revenue Cycle Business Operations implementation and maintenance. - Reviews recommendations for development and analysis of implementation plans for System development and implementation of Revenue Cycle Business Operations which may include discovery, design, conversion, testing, and/or any other components of the project plan cycle. - Serves as a liaison between business and technology teams. - Develops and delivers training programs for current and prospective users. - Ensures processes are compliant with system policies, applicable laws and contractual bargaining agreements. - Develops procedures for system audits; resolves discrepancies, as required. - Collaborates with departments and clients to resolve user issues. - Troubleshoots issues and resolves concerns as well as recommends necessary fixes; advises management of results and recommends actions. - Consults with newly acquired facilities and designs transition and implementation plans. - Operates under limited guidance and work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors. - Performs related duties as required. Role Description As part of the Revenue Integrity department, the Revenue Integrity Analyst is responsible for identifying and correcting the processes and systems that lead to lost revenue opportunities and reduced reimbursement for the care provided to patients. - Performs and reviews regular audits to support the maintenance and enhancement of Mosaic Life Care's charge capture, compliance, and billing functions. - Explores potential charge capture workflow enhancements and applies a consistent charge structure. - Reviews rate setting according to industry standards, payer contracts, and denial trends. - Ensures that charges make it to billing by working with departments and Technical Services to monitor processes handling charge interface exceptions. - May be involved in the design and implementation of data extraction and analytics processes across departments and service lines to pinpoint potential revenue leakage. - Maximizes charge efficiency through: - Monitoring revenue cycle processes and staff functions. - Supporting revenue capture and integrity by evaluating the accuracy of charge capture and billing functions and staying apprised of payer and/or regulatory updates. - Assisting in the design and implementation of charge capture/billing workflow improvements. - Resolves Epic WQs pertaining to: - CCI and MUE Edits - Denials - Missing Cost Center - Missing Charges - Charge Review WQs - Physician Missing Charges Reports - Revenue Guardian edits - Performs RAC audits and appeals. - Assists with CDM updates; develops annual CPT/HCPC code updates and training. - Performs other duties assigned.
