Role Description CS is seeking a Senior Check Point Firewall Engineer to work in our Washington, DC office / remote. The role is contingent upon additional funding. ECS is seeking a Senior Check Point Firewall Engineer to provide the following services to our Federal government client: - Collaborate with customer staff to design, plan and implement new firewall architectures, upgrades and features as necessary. - Lead in the administration of the client's Check Point firewalls to include updates, upgrades, policy administration and validation. - Review and implement customer changes consistent with existing policies. - Review and update documentation to ensure consistency with current procedures. - Manage and tune additional software blades associated with firewall architecture (IPS, URL, Application Control, AV, Advanced Malware detection). - Willingness to work outside of normal business hours to support outage resolution, planned maintenance or to implement an upgrade. *5+ years of relevant work experience required* Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000 Qualifications - Minimum five (5) years of experience configuring and administering Checkpoint Firewalls. - In-depth knowledge of security operations, including firewall rules and security policies. - Strong networking ability and knowledge of firewall platforms to assist in rapid identification and isolation of issues during incidents and outages. The Sr. Automation Engineer will act as a senior technical authority, driving automation strategy, ensuring system reliability and compliance, and supporting complex troubleshooting and integration efforts across client engagements.
