Polycor
Role Description The Curbing Sales Representative is responsible for driving specifications and sales of Polycor’s granite curbing through proactive engagement with DOTs, municipalities, engineering firms, master planners, and private developers. This role focuses on building product awareness, influencing project specifications, and ensuring Polycor stones are selected and maintained throughout the design and construction cycle. The rep acts as a trusted consultant — combining product expertise & design insight, skills to deliver results that align with Polycor’s growth strategy and premium product position. Key Responsibilities: - Curbing Specification & Design Development: - Promote Polycor’s granite curbing to DOTs, municipalities, engineering firms, master planners, and private developers, and secure project specifications through design and bid phases. - Conduct CEU presentations, lunch & learns, and engineering office visits, while providing samples, technical data, and design support. - Track specifications using CRM and project intelligence tools and defend them during value engineering or substitution challenges. - Relationship & Territory Development: - Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts, including DOTs, municipalities, engineering firms, master planners, and private developers. - Expand influence within engineering firms and specification networks. - Participate in industry events, trade shows, and professional associations. - Build strategic partnerships with agents, fabricators, and installers and identify growth opportunities within the assigned territory. - Product Knowledge & Technical Expertise: - Maintain strong knowledge of Polycor’s granite curbing products, including quarry origins, finishes, and performance characteristics. - Position natural stone curbing advantages against competitive solutions (precast and cast-in-place concrete curbing, slipform, etc.). - Provide technical guidance on fabrication, installation, and maintenance requirements. - Collaborate closely with Estimating, Project Management, Operations, and technical teams to resolve project-specific challenges. - Brand Representation & Marketing Alignment: - Serve as the face of Polycor within the engineering and construction community. - Support marketing initiatives, local events, and case study development. - Ensure brand consistency across presentations, proposals, and events and share market feedback with internal teams. - Sales Performance & Reporting: - Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales and specification objectives. - Track and report on project pipelines, win/loss outcomes, and competitive intelligence. - Manage travel, expenses, and customer engagement activities responsibly. Qualifications - Strong interpersonal and presentation skills. - Consultative sales approach. - Deep understanding of construction projects design, specification development, and bid processes. - Self-motivated, organized, and proactive. - Ability to manage multiple projects with precision. - Effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. - Passion for sustainable materials, design, and infrastructure. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction, Architecture, or a related field is preferred. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, specification management, construction or related roles. - Knowledge of construction projects design, specification development and bid processes for materials. - Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written), French is an asset. - Strong proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office. - Willingness to travel within assigned territory. A valid driver’s license is required. Role Description We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced individual for the position of Territory Sales Manager – Specialty. As our Territory Sales Manager - Specialty, you will have a unique opportunity to be the face of Sumitomo Pharma America (SMPA) to our customers. We reinforce a performance-based environment of ownership and accountability for our sales professionals by assigning each territory to one Territory Sales Manager. You will primarily be responsible for achieving and exceeding sales objectives and growing market share. Specifically, you’ll: - Manage the assigned territory. - Establish deep and meaningful business relationships based on your clinical and market dynamic expertise. - Increase market share base by closing new business in both new and existing accounts prioritized on market potential. - Support your sales results with an exceptional level of clinical expertise and understanding of the evolving healthcare landscape, thoughtful planning, purposeful action, and utilization of your available resources in a compliant manner. - Assess and analyze product/competitor trends and market dynamics. - Collaborate and provide candid, constructive communication with team members. - Travel is required throughout the territory. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. - 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience is required and a demonstrated mastery of product and disease state knowledge. - A proven, consistent, and documented track record of top-ranked sales performance (ideally ranked in the top 25% of the nation). Requirements - Demonstrated success applying clinical expertise (product/competition/disease state), understanding of the healthcare landscape, and critical thinking. - Demonstrated success analyzing trends and market dynamics to provide sales strategy recommendations and insights based on data. - Demonstrated history of a strong work ethic and professional presence. - Demonstrated ability to ensure all administrative tasks (including call reporting, sample management, expense reports, training modules, business plans, etc.) are completed in a timely, accurate and compliant manner. - Demonstrated ability to consistently operate in a manner which demonstrates and instills trust and integrity. - Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced start up environment. - Ability to comply with customer institution access requirements. - Ability to drive a car and possess a valid and current driver’s license. - Ability and willingness to travel overnight as needed (~20%).
