IT Major Incident Operator

Role Description Responsible for proactive monitoring and engagement to prevent and mitigate major outages, leveraging expertise in ServiceNow Ticketing, AI Ops, and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds. Collaborates with IT infrastructure, application, and vendor teams to resolve major incidents, ensures timely escalation to the Major Incident team, and leads ITSM process management—including Incident, Problem, CMDB, Change, and Knowledge Management—with a focus on proactive monitoring, network visibility, early detection, and continuous improvement in IT Operations. - Proactively monitor network, infrastructure, and applications using SolarWinds, validating and correlating alerts to detect issues early. - Support P1/P0/P2 incidents, act as an early-warning function for the Major Incident team, and participate in incident, change, and problem management activities. - Produce advanced reporting and analytics using ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Power BI, and maintain SLA/metrics dashboards. - Identify recurring alert patterns, recommend monitoring improvements, drive continuous ITSM process enhancements, and lead small/medium operational projects. - Deliver training on monitoring and ITSM processes, participate in debrief/post-incident reviews, and collaborate across service delivery areas while leveraging AI tools. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of equivalent IT experience, with strong server fundamentals (CPU, memory, logs, patches, hardware). - Hands-on experience with SolarWinds monitoring and understanding of global escalation processes. - Proficiency with ServiceNow dashboards, custom searches, operational reporting, and trend analysis; Power BI is a plus. - ITIL and network/technology certifications preferred, with ability to perform effectively under high-severity/high-pressure incidents. - Willingness to support global time zones, engage in continuous AI-based learning, and adapt to advanced role training. I. Job Summary The Builder's Direct Desk Agent provides customer service for the construction department by serving as a point of contact for the customer and acting as liaison between the customer and operations. This position manages inbound calls, sells small contractors, manages all contractor service needs and provides outside sales rep support. This position is remote however the employee must reside in the Four Corners Market Area (UT, NM, CO or AZ) based on business need. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Fields incoming calls for the construction department. - Acts as lead contact for and liaison to construction customers and operations. - Works to understand customers’ needs, issues and requests. - Establishes and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction by working with customers, operations, sales and set-up departments to resolve issues including escalated and complex customer service issues. - Communicates and coordinates with sales and operations departments to ensure follow-up on sales leads, set-ups, missed pick-ups and other customer-related issues. - Initiates outbound calls to customers to ensure resolution of issues, customer satisfaction and to build loyalty. - Provides information and education to customers regarding service options, charges and billing questions. - Other duties as assigned. III. Qualifications (Must live and work in the U.S.) A. Required Qualifications - High School Diploma or G.E.D (accredited). - Two years of customer service experience (in addition to education requirements) B. Preferred Qualifications - Prior experience in a high-volume call center environment. IV.
