This role is a unique opportunity to build a life-saving AI engine using the world’s most valuable clinical datasets. - Help build a Predictive Risk Engine that identifies which patients are candidates for "Immersive Care" (XR distraction) instead of drugs. - Work directly with our CEO to: - Mine Unstructured Data: Use NLP (ClinicalBERT / BioBERT) to extract anxiety markers and procedural indicators from thousands of anonymized clinical notes. - Feature Engineering: Clean and join complex longitudinal datasets including medication dosages (Infusion tables), vitals (Flowsheets), and recovery timestamps. - Build the Model: Develop and validate an XGBoost classification model to output an "XR Suitability Score" with a target AUC-ROC of >0.75. Qualifications - Final year Master’s student or PhD candidate in Data Science, AI, Medical Informatics, or Applied Math. - Expert-level knowledge of the Python data stack (Pandas, Scikit-learn, XGBoost). - Hands-on experience with the HuggingFace library and transformer models. - Ability to navigate and join massive relational databases (BigQuery/SQL Server). - You are a "builder" who is comfortable with the ambiguity of clinical data and the fast pace of a scale-up environment. Role Description The Varicent Associate TAM works alongside Technical Account Managers within the Customer Success organization with a portfolio of clients who have subscribed to the VIP Program. The Associate TAM will act as a Varicent adviser to client resources with the aim to maximize the VIP client’s return on their Varicent investment. This will require building strong relationships with all stakeholders and supporting business goals by solving go-to-market challenges with innovative solutions. This will include: - Answering product, process, and solution-specific questions. - Proactively monitoring existing solutions for optimal performance. - Adapting and evolving existing solutions with new implementations and adoption of new features and functionality. - Working in tandem with the primary TAM to own the customer’s technical success. - Supporting all system and solution-focused conversations.
