• Be part of the Leadership Team that will drive architecture, process, and technology change throughout the Engineering Organization through transformational leadership. • Build leaders who are focused on continually improving the talent and capabilities of your software engineers. • Provide guidance to deliver software solutions to support the product roadmap for our industry. • Inspire your teams to “Execute and Win”, where winning is delivering real value to our customers and solving their business needs. • Challenge the team to deliver high quality products and help eliminate toil and automate solutions in order to become more efficient and self-sustaining. • Remove impediments across all teams by providing guidance and making key technical decisions, clearly communicating tradeoffs to business stakeholders. • Work with software engineers and architects to develop and maintain “Best Practices” policies and procedures for application technical implementation. • Establish monitoring and appropriate metrics for sustaining a highly available software platform in the future.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years in a professional software development management role
- High energy and proven track record leading and growing successful software teams
- Passionate commitment to software excellence, and quality of product releases
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of driving towards outcome driven decisions
- Familiarity with programming languages, web technologies, cloud and on-premises web architecture best practices
- Familiarity with a broad mix of technologies for modern web development
- Familiarity with professional development environments and tooling
- Scrum and agile enthusiast with a realistic understanding of how to customize processes to optimize quality and delivery of software to stakeholders
- Preferred: experience with delivering a high-quality distributed product in a high and previous experience working with geographically distributed coworkers
