Role Description This position serves as a senior analyst who consistently thinks strategically across systems, projects, and departments; envisions organizational goals and inspires others to obtain them; translates business problems and requirements into information requirements and systems, acting as a liaison between information systems and the remainder of the organization. This position consistently demonstrates leadership skills across all competencies and IS core processes. Specific responsibilities will be focused on customer support, assigned applications, analysis, modification, programming, building, and testing. Support other IS core processes and performs all other duties as assigned. - Determine testing requirements for new or modified software (systems, reports, code, views, tables, queries, macros, programs, applications, etc.). Design and implement test plans, including coordination of testing across systems. - Evaluate existing systems against strategic Informatics plan and recommend changes within the context of the plan. - Provide user support for centralized systems. Determine system integration requirements and assure that information flows correctly between all applications. - Communicate appropriately with end users to understand their needs. Proceeds with appropriate actions that include Dictionary evaluation, design and use; Custom Report Writing; Programming; Application Development; Project management; Preparation of requirement documents for both internal and external development efforts. Assists in the development of hospital training manuals for assigned modules and coordinates training programs for assigned personnel. - Serves as the primary application support person for all assigned modules, troubleshoots problems, ensures correct information flow between applications and coordinates the projects as assigned. Assists in ensuring all department, hospital, Compliance, HIPAA, and Joint Commission guidelines are met. - Works with other analysts as needed to ensure that a consistent model is applied throughout the information system. Coordinates resolution of operational issues between the assigned applications and system support personnel. - Continually monitor the operational impact of systems, user acceptance, and compliance with Informatics objectives. Revise and maintain documentation. - Act as a resource for other IS staff on technical issues. - Train IS personnel in the use of system functionality and standards. Serve as the primary contact for technical issues for secondary vendors with interfaces to the core applications. Serve as a day-to-day contact person between external application consultants and hospital personnel when needed. - Assume responsibility for implementation of applications and coordinates activities with personnel assuming functional responsibility for operations. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or 9+ years of equivalent combination of education/experience. - Expert knowledge of application systems and analyst tools. - Project management experience. - Excellent written/verbal communication skills. - Three to five years’ experience in information systems with client-server application experience. - Experience in health care environment preferred. Meditech experience preferred. - Professional certifications desired (MCSE, MCSD, etc.). Requirements - 3 years education + 3 years’ work experience. - 2 years education + 5 years’ work experience. - 1 year education + 7 years’ work experience. - 0 college education + 9 years’ work experience. Role Overview As the Performance Analyst, you’ll have a big mission. Responsible for assuring the Company’s standards are achieved and excellent customer service is delivered. Serves as primary point of contact for pricing and/ or ILS conversations with clients and operators. Analysis of performance to be reviewed during regular scheduled performance calls. The analyst ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, including 42 CFR Part 460 (PACE Regulations), as well as organizational contracts and policies. Collaborates with other departments in the organization. Conducts follow-up activity for claims held until the claim and/or PDR is closed. Ensure claims are supported by appropriate authorizations and documentation per PACE regulatory guidelines. Support encounter data validation and submission to regulatory agencies. Conducts coordination of benefits, insuring that claims impact primary and secondary insurance, as appropriate. Review and analyze claims loss, expense reserves and reconcile claims reports with authorizations. Assist in preparation for audits and compliance reviews by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), or internal auditors.
