Visual Studio Programmer
BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee
• Analyzing underwriting operations; creating, integrating, and modifying programs to meet financial and operational objectives. • Assisting in validating, testing and documenting the underwriting/quoting solution delivered. • Works with business users to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. • May conduct presentations to provide end users with knowledge to maximize their use of developed systems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent work experience required.
- 2 years - Experience in programming required
- 1 year - Experience with information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards required
- Experience developing with MS Office Suite (VBA), Visual Studio (VB.net, C#, WPF, MVVM, SQL, T-SQL, XML)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles and accountability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
- Must be a team player, be organized and have the ability to handle multiple projects
- Demonstrated understanding of concepts similar to rating formulas, tools, databases, or reports associated with the Insurance/Finance environment.
