Senior Software Engineer - MedNet - Remote

You will work in an Agile environment, collaborating closely with the business product management and members of a global engineering team. To support this mission, OSIT has initiated a multi year modernization program aimed at updating and enhancing enterprise technology systems in accordance with modern design standards. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. Primary Responsibilities: - Designs, codes, tests and debugs applications and components that meet all technical specifications and business requirements per assigned work items - Work closely with lead engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development - Instill best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules - Translate business requirements into technical solutions, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions - Operational Excellence - build, deploy, monitor, and operation of production services You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: - 4+ years of software engineering experience - 3+ years of experience using Java, Javascript, SQL, C#, etc. - 1+ years of experience with CI/CD and test automation - United States citizenship is required for this position - Must be able to obtain and maintain a suitability or determination of eligibility for a Confidential/Secret or Top Secret security clearance Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering or related field and/or relevant experience - 3+ years of experience integrating with RESTful API's - 2+ years of experience working with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
