Role Description As a Procurement Specialist at BDC Laboratories, you'll be at the forefront of developing strategic partnerships with suppliers to achieve exceptional performance levels. Your expertise will shine as you establish purchasing policies and ensure compliance while implementing best practices that elevate our procurement processes. - Examine bids, negotiate pricing and delivery terms, and award purchase orders that align with our dynamic business needs. - Collaborate with vendors to manage priorities, monitor job statuses, and track delivery performances while adhering to safety guidelines and business ethics. - Identify and qualify suppliers based on their capabilities and costs. - Place timely purchase orders to ensure production schedules run smoothly and efficiently. - Contribute to maintaining the high-performance culture that defines BDC Laboratories. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in a related business area is preferred. - 5+ years of Purchasing and/or Supply Chain Planning and Management experience. - 3+ years in Procurement. - Vendor Management and/or Strategic Sourcing experience. - Experience in strategic sourcing, vendor selection, negotiation, commercial agreements, and supplier performance management. - Experience in a dynamic electro-mechanical box build manufacturing environment is highly desirable. - Proficient with MS Office Suite Tools: Word, Excel, etc. - Strong ERP System knowledge, ideally Syteline by Infor. - Ability to understand and interpret production build demand/forecast to develop procurement strategies and schedules to support growing business requirements. - High level of organizational skills for efficient execution of procurement responsibilities. - Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and represent BDC professionally to the supply base. - Strong overall business acumen and organizational savvy with the ability to effectively operate in a fast-paced dynamic manufacturing environment.
