• Serve as an additional thought partner to the CEO on strategy, organizational priorities, and complex decisions. • Represent the CEO in internal leadership, operational, and cross-functional meetings, ensuring her perspective, intent, and decision-making framework are clearly understood and adhered to. • Prepare the CEO for internal meetings by synthesizing key inputs, flagging decisions that need to be made, and ensuring follow through afterward. • Help the CEO maintain focus on the most critical internal opportunities and risks facing the organization by synthesizing cross-organizational insights and elevating issues that require CEO attention or leadership alignment. • Ensure that strategic decisions are well-framed, grounded in shared understanding, and clearly communicated.
Job Requirements
- Significant experience in senior-level strategy, management, advisory, or leadership roles, ideally within mission-driven, or complex organizational environments.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate complex internal processes, operate as a trusted support to senior leaders, and drive alignment across teams without owning direct authority.
- Strong strategic judgment and comfort navigating ambiguity, tradeoffs, and sensitive dynamics.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority.

Role Description InPlanet is entering an exciting phase of scale. We are issuing significantly more carbon credits this year and anticipate continued rapid growth. To support this, we are hiring a Head of Carbon to lead the operational, project management, and people management functions of our growing carbon credit team. Reporting to the VP of Science and Research, this is a senior leadership role focused on keeping the carbon crediting process running efficiently at scale, from documentation and credit issuance to registry management and team coordination. Key Responsibilities - Project & Process Management - Own and manage end-to-end project timelines across all carbon credit activities. - Drive process efficiency and implement robust project management frameworks suited to a fast-scaling startup. - Ensure all carbon credit milestones are met on time, chasing key stakeholders for information and sign-offs as needed. - Coordinate with Isometric and other registry partners on administrative and compliance matters. - People & Team Leadership - Manage and grow the carbon team as headcount scales with credit issuance volumes. - Set team objectives and OKRs, ensuring clear ownership of key results. - Recruit, onboard, and develop team members as the function expands. - Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination - Act as the primary coordination point and key facilitator for knowledge exchange between the carbon team and other departments including Business Development and Operations. - Ensure commitments to other teams are tracked, communicated, and delivered. - Represent the carbon function in relevant leadership and planning forums. - Strategy & Reporting - Support high-level carbon strategy and contribute to scaling frameworks, soliciting expert contributions from the wider carbon team. - Oversee forecasting, projections, and credit issuance reporting processes. - Help shape and evolve the organisational structure of the carbon team as the company grows and appropriately allocate resources.
