Job Description
Founding Product Designer
PLANOGRAM, LLC
Role Description We’re seeking a founding product designer to help rebuild our offering from the ground up. No PRDs. No 18-month roadmaps. Just turning ideas into real product experiences in days and the mandate to ship something extraordinary. Planoly is an established, profitable platform trusted by 30,000+ creators, solopreneurs, and small content-first businesses. We have strong brand equity, deep creator-economy expertise, and a loyal customer base. We are entering our next phase of growth and we need someone who thinks in product and design first and is technical enough to bring those ideas to life. You will have a rare clean slate to build something truly new alongside a team steeped in marketing, the creator economy, and human-first advantage. If you love to build, iterate, and follow your intuition on product decisions, this is that role. What You’ll Do - You’ll own the full arc from product concept to shipped experience. - You will prototype what we build, design how it feels, and bring it to life independently (without the bloat of a full engineering cycle). - Shape product direction alongside leadership - identify what to build, for whom, and why it matters. - Build working prototypes and production-ready features, moving rapidly from idea to artifact. - Test concepts with users quickly and iterate in real time. - Champion craft and taste in every detail, maintaining the simplicity and design-forward roots that are core to Planoly’s history. - Help define the design system, interaction patterns, and front-end foundations for the next generation of the platform. - Collaborate daily with a small, senior team across product, engineering, and marketing. Who You Are - Product thinker first. Designer by obsession. Technical enough to ship. - You lead with a human-first product instinct. You get into the user's head fast and ship things that feel right. - You are obsessed with building great products and experiences for our community. - You can build what you design: rapid prototypes, proof of concepts, and working code. - Knowledgeable enough with front-end code (React) to collaborate with the engineering team. - You have strong opinions, loosely held. You’d rather test an idea than debate it. - You thrive in ambiguity and move with urgency. - You have a sharp eye for what “good” looks and feels like. - Bonus: experience in the creator economy, social media, or content tools. Benefits - Competitive salary commensurate with experience and a founding-level role. - Founding team level equity participation. - Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits. - Flexible PTO and a remote-first culture that trusts you to manage your time. - Annual team offsites and the occasional IRL jam session when it matters. How to Apply Skip the cover letter. Send us a link to something you’ve designed and built—a product, a prototype, a side project. We want to see how you think about product problems and how you bring ideas to life in addition to your résumé.

Life at Plume At Plume, we believe that technology isn't about moving faster, it's about making life’s moments better. Which is why we’ve built the world's first, and only, open and hardware-independent service delivery platform for smart homes, small businesses, enterprises, and beyond. Our SaaS platform uses WiFi, advanced AI, and machine learning to create the future of connected spaces—and human experiences—at massive scale. We now deliver services to over 60 million locations globally and have managed over 3 billion devices on our platform. We’re expanding rapidly, pioneering a new category, and we achieved our Series F funding in just four years. Our customers include many of the world's largest Internet Service Providers (ISPs) who look to Plume to help them evolve their smart home offerings while gleaning insights from their own data. With a bias for action and a love for being trailblazers, the team at Plume embodies a combination of relentless curiosity and imaginative innovation. We challenge ourselves to think in ways that other companies don't, work to do what should be done (rather than what can), and if we can’t do it exceptionally well, we don’t do it. It’s how we've assembled a team of world-class builders, thinkers, and doers. And it’s how we’re reinventing what’s possible every day. Role Description: At Plume, we are building a suite of smart home services with delightful end-to-end user experiences. The humble and super talented team of designers at Plume sweat over making technology accessible, friendly, and delightful. Along the way, we ensure that working at Plume is a satisfying, memorable and learning experience for all. The Senior Product Designer role requires you to employ a diverse set of techniques to discover, define and address latent user needs across the whole spectrum of the Plume customer journey. Responsibilities: - Shape the end-to-end experience of our consumer mobile app — from early concept and user flows through pixel-perfect, production-ready assets handed off to engineering - Drive native app design across iOS and Android, applying platform-specific conventions (Human Interface Guidelines, Material Design) while maintaining a cohesive cross-platform product identity - Co-own and evolve our design system. Build and maintain reusable component libraries, tokens, and documentation that scale with the product - Lead user research and usability testing initiatives to validate design hypotheses, uncover pain points, and inform product direction with real user insight - Champion accessibility throughout the design process, ensuring our product meets or exceeds WCAG standards and feels inclusive to all users - Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to align design strategy with product goals and ship experiences on time and on spec - Prototype click-through experiences in Figma or ProtoPie to communicate and validate ideas quickly across varying levels of fidelity - Continue to build on you existing AI experience with the mindset of always looking for new areas of automation and efficiency. The role of the designer is changing but the need for our expertise and skill sets has never been greater. Qualifications: - 10+ years of experience of product design in SaaS platforms and specifically in B2B applications and services. Designing for high quality web enterprise reporting and analytics products - Excellent communicator — both within our design team, and with external stakeholders - Curious, self-motivated, and collaborative. - Believe in shipping on-time, on-spec. - Great sense of aesthetic - visually current and forward-looking. - People and work that inspires you, come from all walks of life, not just the field of design. You are able to clearly articulate why they are inspirational to you. - Experience with major design frameworks such as design thinking. - Required expertise in Figma and experience with Confluence and Jira. - Required: link to the online portfolio of your prior work. We are unable to offer sponsorship at this time. Total Compensation package would include: anticipated base compensation range of $128,525.00 - $155,000.00 + bonus + equity + benefits. Benefits include: a 401k plan and a company match, basic life insurance plus unparalleled health, dental, vision and other benefits and perks. Please see here for more details. An employee’s base salary and its position within the range may depend on a number of factors including job related knowledge, education, skills, experience and other business related considerations. Published ranges are provided in good faith at the time of posting. #RemoteWork #LI-Remote #WorkFromHome #RemoteJob #WFH About Plume As the creator of the only open, hardware-independent, cloud-controlled experience platform for ISPs and their subscribers, Plume partners with over 400 ISP customers, including some of the world’s largest such as Comcast, Charter, Liberty Global, and J:COM.
