Senior Manager, Clinical Biomarker Operations
Apogee Therapeutics
• Plan, track, and manage logistics around biomarker sample collection across all our clinical trials, oversee sample shipments and testing at vendors, undertake sample reconciliation as needed, plan and inform teams on data delivery timelines, and manage final sample disposition. • Ensure adherence to the clinical study protocol, contribute to biospecimen collection guidelines in protocols, ICFs, and lab manuals, and lead finalization of data transfer specifications. • Maintain sample inventories, coordinate sample collection, and manage short-term and long-term sample storage solutions. • Work in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders including Biomarker Scientists, Data Management, Clinical Operations, Legal, Finance, Procurement, and Quality Assurance. • Support and coordinate review and finalization of MSAs, legal agreements, and other contracts related to clinical biomarker activities, labs, and partnerships. • Support QA in vendor audit and inspection activities. • Support activities related to biomarker budget planning and tracking of accruals. • Lead vendor selection, performance management, and vendor oversight to ensure compliance with Apogee standards. • Continuously identify and build best practices for process improvements. • Ensure high quality data generation by overseeing sample integrity and external collaborations.
Job Requirements
- MS or higher with > 3 years or BS with >5 years of direct experience in biomarker operations role.
- Demonstrated experience with biomarker sample management, including sample logistics, reconciliation, and inventory maintenance from sample collection to long-term storage.
- Significant experience with CRO oversight, including contract management, SOW reviews, activity and accrual tracking, and final reconciliation of activities.
- Experienced in all phases of clinical trials, Phase 3 experience is an asset.
- Good understanding of biomarker assays, including flow cytometry, genomics, protein-based assays, and drug development in general.
- High level of emotional intelligence and able to collaborate effectively as a member of cross-functional teams, excellent communication skills to drive projects and manage timelines.
- Experience in I&I indications.
- Enjoys fast paced environment, flexible, able to manage multiple and competing priorities under tight timelines.

• Coordinate the contracting process by partnering with legal and internal stakeholders to draft, review, redline, and facilitate execution of manufacturer contracts related to access, data, and services. • Align contract documentation with operational capabilities, reimbursement models, compliance requirements, and internal risk controls. • Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency across contractual documentation. • Own the operational execution of the RFP process from intake through submission, including coordination of inputs, timelines, and deliverables. • Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality RFP submissions by managing workflows, content integration, and stakeholder contributions. • Utilize the RFP repository to populate and maintain standard responses, coordinating updates with internal subject matter experts. • Structure proposals and synthesize clinical, technical, and operational content into clear, cohesive submissions. • Ensure compliance with RFP specifications, timelines, and evaluation criteria. • Maintain and continuously improve the RFP repository/library. • Develop and manage implementation plans to support the transition of awarded contracts into operational readiness. • Define scope, timelines, milestones, KPIs, and cross-functional handoffs required for successful program launch. • Coordinate cross-functional handoffs across Operations, Clinical, Finance, and Technology to ensure a smooth transition from contract execution to program launch. • Facilitate structured reviews with Legal, Compliance, Clinical Services, Patient Access, Finance, Technology/PMO, and Sales. • Drive coordination, issue tracking, and resolution across teams to support timely execution of deliverables. • Provide clear status updates, track decisions, and escalate risks as needed. • Maintain and standardize proposal and contract content, including standard responses, case studies, service descriptions, bios, and qualifications. • Partner with the Pharma Relations Program Manager and PMO to ensure business rules, workflows, and documentation are current, consistent, and accessible. • Track progress, risks, and dependencies; produce status reporting, dashboards, and post-award debriefs. • Capture lessons learned and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and consistency across workflows. • Establish and maintain operational processes, tools, and documentation that enable Program Management and Business Development teams to effectively execute and manage manufacturer programs.
