Role Description Reddit’s newly minted Ads Creative Effectiveness team sits at the heart of our creative strategy, building GenAI and predictive products that help advertisers ship high-impact campaigns. We are searching for a Software Engineer to help us build the future of generative products for ad creative at Reddit. - Creative Engineering Pipelines: Architect and implement high-performance backends for ad creative generation. - Creative Editing Features: Develop end-to-end image and video editing capabilities. - Data-Driven Feedback Loops: Build the infrastructure to connect ad performance metrics (CTR, CVR) back into the creative engine. - Scalable Model Orchestration: Design and optimize low-latency serving layers for complex AI models. - Safety & Policy Infrastructure: Engineer robust middleware for content filtering and compliance. - Partner Broadly: Collaborate with Product, Sales, Policy, UX, and sibling Ads ML teams. - Guardrails & Safety: Embed brand-safety filters, copyright checks, and human-in-the-loop escalation paths. Qualifications - Strong Software Engineering Fundamentals: Proficiency in building and scaling backend systems (e.g., Python, Go). - Practical AI/ML Integration: Comfortable working with ML infrastructure. - Product-Minded Engineering: Keen interest in the advertiser experience. - Startup Mindset: Strong bias for action and ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment. - Effective Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical trade-offs. - Relevant Tooling Experience: Prior experience building or maintaining creative tools is a major plus.
