Department Overview: The mission of the Development Operations team is to empower fundraisers to achieve greater impact by building clear, efficient systems, fostering confidence, and simplifying the path from idea to execution. The Development Operations team is responsible for the oversight and execution of all operational aspects of MDAs fundraising events and programs, working alongside Finance, IT and other related departments to ensure and maximize efficiencies for the Development team. Team members within the Development Operations business unit will work alongside and across all business units within the Development team as well as other areas of MDA’s business. Position Overview: The Project Manager, Development Operations will lead initiatives focused on Salesforce process optimization, data integration in various formats and finance-related systems and projects. This role is responsible for implementation of projects that support and improve system efficiencies and operational effectiveness. This position requires experience in fundraising platforms, along with a strong ability to manage data accuracy, drive process improvements and support decision-making with clear financial and operational reporting. This position reports to the Director of Development Operations. Location: This is currently a remote position with occasional travel requirements. Salary: This position's salary range is $55,000 - $60,000. Final offer amounts and levels are determined by multiple factors, including your experience, and may vary from the amounts listed above. Responsibilities: Accountable for the successful delivery of complex projects through the effective management of solution design/development, project plans, resources, and stakeholder engagement. Serve as primary liaison to external technology platform partners including managing relationships, resolution of issues that arise and collaboration internally with IT department to troubleshoot and escalate as needed. Develop and maintain comprehensive statements of work that accurately define project scope, activities, deliverables, and timelines. Provide leadership that fosters participant equity and inclusiveness in project development and implementation. Monitor, track, and reconcile revenue for assigned campaigns and events. Partner with finance and operations to ensure revenue is reported and allocated correctly. Process deposits, ensuring accuracy and timely recording. Coordinate workstreams across departments, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals. Leverage data and reporting tools to provide actionable insights to leadership and stakeholders. Manage timelines, deliverables, and budgets, proactively addressing risks and changes. Interact with senior and executive level management (as needed) regarding project, expected business outcome, contract/ engagement administration. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce, and all fundraising applications. Analyze active projects, project retrospectives, team input and systems to propose improvements to processes/workflows/tools. Ability to manage and provide guidance to staff to ensure quality work and professional development as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. 3+ years of experience in project management or similar roles required. Ability to work across a wide variety of platforms including Salesforce, digital, social platforms, and client specific applications. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage competing priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously. Extensive experience managing external vendors and working with finance on contract management. Strong written/verbal communication, presentation, and listening skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audience. Strong collaborator with demonstrated success leading diverse, cross-functional teams and fostering a results-focused culture.
