Associate Software Engineer

Job DetailsJob Category: Computer-related ExemptionWe’re looking for an Associate Software Engineer with approximately one year of experience to join our team and help build and maintain modern web applications. In this role, you’ll be a hands-on contributor, working closely with more experienced engineers to develop clean, efficient, and secure code. You’ll support the full software development lifecycle—from implementing features and fixing bugs to testing and deploying updates—while continuing to build your technical skills and understanding of best practices. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, grow, and gain exposure to real-world application development in a collaborative environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Translate requirements into clear technical designs with guidance; draft code plans for small to moderate tasks. Develop software for commercial end- user applications and internal tools. Write clean, maintainable code that meets performance and security standards. Troubleshoot and perform break/fix repairs; conduct basic root-cause analysis and document prevention steps. Create unit/integration tests and support CI checks to ensure stable, defect-free releases. Follow team branching/merging practices (feature branches, PRs) and complete peer code reviews with actionable feedback. Prepare and maintain technical documentation (design notes, release procedures/steps, etc.). Assist with packaging, deployment, and environment setup; adhere to change control and production steps. QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience. 1+ years of experience in providing consultation, training, and knowledge sharing to associates, as well as actively contributing to a domain's body of knowledge. 1+ years of software development experience in the following key technologies: NodeJS JavaScript PHP RDBMS/MySQL/MariaDB Linux Python Familiarity with Agile methodology Direct Marketing or Digital Marketing experience a plus ADDITIONAL DETAILS Location: Remote Department: Information Technology Compensation Range: $65,000 - $86,500. Total compensation for this role also includes a variable component.
