Country Study Operations Manager

• The Country Study Operations Manager I (cSOM I) has responsibilities for study and specific country level activities from study startup through conduct and study close on studies of limited complexity (a small number of countries/sites) or manages portions of a larger study (such as recruitment and retention). • Supports Global Study Managers (GSMs), other SOMs, and the larger study management delivery of the study by leading specific parts of the project, driving specific countries, executing tasks of moderate complexity, and developing solutions to problems as needed to support deliverables. • Serves as leader of the local study team (core members, ad hoc members, and other key stakeholders as required) on one or more studies. • Oversees the preferred Contract Research Organization (pCRO) and/or Country Trial Manager (CTM)/Site Care Partner (SCP) for assigned studies at country level in accordance with the overall project plan, and manages and maintains accurate country level plans (e.g., timelines, budget, risk, and quality plans).

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s of Science or Bachelor’s of Arts degree with a minimum 5 years of relevant operational clinical trial experience required
  • Master’s of Science or Master’s of Business Administration degree with a minimum 3 years of relevant operational clinical trial experience required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of own discipline with good knowledge of other disciplines to ensure that the study can meet its goals and to serve as a resource for others
  • Demonstrated clinical research experience and/or study management/startup project manager experience
  • Demonstrated experience in managing country level operational activities and/or vendors

A Brief Overview This role provides high-level support for gift officers, drives holistic fundraising program strategy, and leads independent projects as well as cross-functional initiatives within the Foundation. This position serves as a primary point of contact between members of the fundraising team, hospital staff, Foundation colleagues, as well as external stakeholders and will also work directly with donors and families who wish to contribute to the mission of the hospital. This role will draft donor communications and briefings for senior leadership and will also interface with Foundation and hospital partners. What you will do - Provide major gift support to members of the fundraising team in their efforts to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward individual donors. For example: - Assist in the creation of proposals and stewardship reports/activities in partnership with donor relations. - Prepare briefing materials for development colleagues, clinical and institutional leadership and support donor meeting follow up. - Work collaboratively with Prospect Management to support efforts to identify and engage new prospective donors. - Support systematic efforts to drive referrals and triage clinical relationships - Contribute to strong working relationships in giving and across the entire Foundation by interface with the community fundraising, corporate and foundation relations, and additional teams to help ensure engagement of fundraising foundations and related groups. - Partner with development leadership to track progress and support major gift program strategy and goals. For example: - Increasing qualification activity and tracking other KPIs. - Developing gift strategies in concert with major gift officers, ultimately leading to successful closures of commitments. - Lead independent projects and cross-functional initiatives aligned with Foundation strategic priorities. For example: - Event-driven follow-up, hand-offs, and major gift strategy for events. - Customized written stewardship for gift prospects. - Patient Visit Qualification Strategy – collaborating across our prospect research, technical, and frontline fundraising teams. Education Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree Required Experience Qualifications - At least five (5) years of business development, fundraising, sales administration or related project management experience Required - At least seven (7) years of business development, fundraising, sales administration or related project management experience in a healthcare or academic related environment Preferred Skills and Abilities - Advanced proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office) including email & calendar, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Advanced proficiency with customer relationship management software (Salesforce, Raiser's Edge) - Advanced proficiency with data visualization& analytic tools (Tableau, Qliksense) - Excellent verbal and written communications skills - Excellent interpersonal skills - Excellent time management skills - Excellent organizational skills - Strong presentation skills - Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Ability to convey complex or technical information in an easy-to-understand manner - Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels To carry out its mission, CHOP is committed to supporting the health of our patients, families, workforce, and global community.
