Business Development Manager – Plumbing, Hydronic Systems

REHAU Window Solutions

• Sell REHAU’s full catalog including plumbing, residential fire, radiant, snow/ice melt, pre-insulated and geoexchange products. • Research the market and assess REHAU’s potential in that market. • Work collaboratively with Sales Management to set the strategy for the territory. • Establish and maintain internal and external working relationships. • Develop sales territory by managing customer accounts, distribution partners and Manufacturers Rep. • Grow new business and create pull through demand with direct focus on contractors, engineers and distributors. • Drive specification-based sales by influencing engineers and project stakeholders early in the design phase. • Manage long sales cycles tied to construction timelines and project execution. • Generate demand through jobsite visits, in-person meetings, and field engagement. • Create market demand by presenting REHAU products and solutions to the entire supply chain. • Generate sales volume by identifying and tracking commercial/residential opportunities. • Conduct training for engineers, contractors, and distributors with Manufacturers Reps. • Input opportunities into Salesforce.com to manage projects and keep data up to date. • Maintain customer database via Salesforce.com, including visits and opportunities. • Create and track KPIs. • Meet or exceed the Sales Incentive Plan as determined by management while managing customer profitability.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Five or more years of sales experience in the plumbing, hydronics, HVAC, or mechanical building systems industry
  • Demonstrated experience in building products, plumbing, HVAC, hydronics, or related construction-based industries required
  • Experience working with engineers, contractors, and distribution channels in a project/specification sales environment required
  • Ability to read architectural drawings and project-management processes.
  • Proven ability to open new accounts and drive specifications with influencers and decision-makers.
  • Proven ability to network and build relationships with key influencers and local organizations.
  • Great communicator & listens to concerns of customers and co-workers and facilitates decision making.
  • Must be well organized to meet deadlines, prioritize and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Team player who also works well individually
  • Proven ability to set and meet sales targets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), knowledge of SalesForce a plus.
  • Willingness to travel 50-60 percent.
