Medical Sales and Services Representative

This position will support Heartland Medical and Vetland Medical — subsidiaries of Prescott's, Inc. We are seeking an enthusiastic entry-level Medical Sales and Services Representative who enjoys engaging in conversation, acquiring knowledge, and working manually. In this position, you will be essential to our operations by delivering on-site technical assistance, maintenance, and repairs for our anesthesia machines. This includes cold calling, prospecting, and selling Capital equipment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys sales and service with a passion for medical technology. This role will be covering Columbus, Cincinnati and surrounding areas in Ohio. You will be calling upon surgery centers, hospital operating rooms, and physicians’ offices for surgical operating equipment needs. Your responsibilities will include addressing annual preventative maintenance and service requests related to a variety of issues to ensure that the anesthesia equipment remains compliant and fully operational. Service calls will include preventative maintenance, repairs, parts replacement, in-service training, troubleshooting in person or over the phone to get the unit back up and running with minimal down time. You will be responsible for ordering parts and keeping trunk stock in order to complete repairs. In addition, you will be responsible for establishing new relationships with customers, while maintaining the existing book of business. You are expected to grow the company footprint with the various states using strong interpersonal skills, high level customer service, and networking within the territory. Each sale will require time spent in surgery supervising the use of the equipment and ensuring physician satisfaction. Only considering candidates in the state of Ohio. Key Responsibilities - Install, maintain, and repair anesthesia machines at customer sites. - Conduct preventative maintenance based on manufacturer guidelines. - Using tools on a daily basis, utilizing the full spectrum of manual hand and power tools to complete repairs. Responding to multiple service calls per day/week. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. - Generate new sales opportunities to grow our presence within the territory - Set up meetings and presentations with decision makers at various call points to increase overall sales and service within the territory. Call points include biomeds, surgeons, OR managers, OR directors, supply chain, materials managers. - Build and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their equipment needs. - Service all anesthesia machines within the territory to ensure they are running up to OEM specifications. - Maintain accurate records of services performed, including equipment maintenance logs, document and write-up full service reports. - Work closely with internal teams to provide feedback on product performance and areas for improvement. - Drive to service calls, sales meetings, cold calls. - Job requires 60% travel with overnights.

  • 1-3 years of experience required, training will be provided.
  • Comfortable with manual and hand tools.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
  • Basic computer skills, familiar with diagnostic and maintenance software.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry equipment up to 40 pounds.
