Job Summary: - We are seeking a strategic, hands-on technology leader to drive the modernization of our Sales & Acquisition ecosystem. This role will lead the design and delivery of a cloud-native platform and shared services that enable scalable, data-driven marketing and sales operations. Principal Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in accelerating direct-to-consumer (DTC) growth, enhancing lead conversion, and enabling omnichannel engagement—while aligning with enterprise architecture standards and modern development practices. - Leads the architectural vision and system design for engineering department using a modern technology stack with a core focus on reusability, maintainability ,scalability and performance at scale - Design and implement cloud-native applications and services on AWS tech stack(like Far gate, Amazon connect ,Lambda, S3, SQS, CloudFront, and Application Load Balancer (ALB),AWS Glue), ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and security standards. - Develop API guidelines (naming, versioning, documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger) and define architectural standards, and conduct design reviews to manage the API lifecycle. - Contribute in improving our Engineering processes, i.e Code best practices , Agile methodology, CI/CD, devops, security and quality initiatives - Build shared services that support lead generation, customer engagement, consent and permissions management, and conversion optimization across digital and assisted channels. - Own the full lifecycle of the application — from architecture and implementation to CI/CD and monitoring. - Implement back-end services using Java, Spring Boot, or other modern programming languages and Microservices architecture. - Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using modern front-end frameworks such as Angular and React. - Work with both RDBMS and NoSQL databases to design and optimize data storage solutions. - Coordinate with product teams to align technical delivery with business goals and customer needs. - Design, develop, and maintain microservices using modern cloud-native frameworks and tools. - Build secure, scalable APIs and backend services in a HIPAA-regulated environment. - Help define CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code standards, and observability practices in collaboration with DevOps. - Shape real-time data ingestion and analytics pipelines in partnership with data engineering and analytics teams. - Integrate various AWS services and third-party APIs to create seamless application workflows. - Set up build frameworks and startup projects to ensure efficient development processes and smooth onboarding for new projects. - Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring adherence to best practices. - Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to set up and maintain development, testing, and production environments. - Leverage Cursor AI, MCPs and other AI tooling for assisted development and code reuse. - Implement AI-powered tools and solutions to automate tasks, optimize performance, and enhance customer engagement. - Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, ensuring high performance and responsiveness. - Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve software development processes. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, with a minimum of 5+ years in a Principal/Staff Engineer or Architecture-focused role - Proficiency in front-end technologies such as Angular and React. - Strong back-end development experience in one or more modern languages, such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, SQL, etc. - Experience with Python ,Java and Spring Boot and Microservices architecture. - Extensive experience with AWS cloud services, including Far gate, Lambda, S3, SQS, CloudFront, and ALB. - Strong Knowledge of CI/CD practices and experience with GitHub Actions. - Experience with both RDBMS (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB). - Experience working with REST and API development. - Exposure to cloud data architecture and analytics, with an understanding of data integration and reporting. - Experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming platform - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Strong leadership presence — able to influence without authority and drive initiatives across teams. - Familiarity with customer data platforms (CDPs), data lakes, and real-time analytics pipelines. - Background in sales, acquisition, or lead management systems. - Experience with enterprise integration patterns and event-driven architecture. Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $144,200.00 - $288,400.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
