Zeig uns, was Du gebaut hast.
Role Description Dawson Group is looking for a permanent, full-time Digital Innovation Developer who will analyze, design, develop and maintain information systems, ensuring they meet our business requirements and improve operational efficiency. In this role, you will be a valued member of Dawson Group and will support our partnership with RightMetric, acting as the embedded developer for the RightMetric business. As time progresses, the role will serve other innovation needs across Dawson Group. RightMetric helps marketers eliminate blind spots with Marketing Outsight. They use signals from audiences, competitors, platforms, content, and culture to show what is changing while it is still unfolding. This gives clients like Red Bull, Wilson, Vancity, ATB, lululemon, and Canadian Tire, a clearer view of what is happening so they can make sharper decisions with confidence. You will work closely with RightMetric’s leadership, product, and data teams as well as Dawson Group’s sister companies to help shape, establish, and deliver on their digital transformation journey. You will play a key part in identifying and implementing opportunities to embed AI across our businesses – integrating systems, automating processes, and leveraging intelligent solutions to drive productivity, efficiency, and innovation. You will help design and develop the logic layer of our digital ecosystem – turning current manual processes into minutes of automated output. This position is fully remote, enabling you to collaborate seamlessly across teams while contributing to the evolution of our digital ecosystem. This role will focus on 3 key areas: - Internal workflow automation and efficiency – utilize technical solutions, APIs, and business logic to eliminate friction points or inefficiencies in internal operations, leading to measurable improvements in team output and speed. - Solution architecture and organizational adoption – act as a technical leader who can help shape digital solutions and instill a high-velocity development culture across the organization. - Maintenance and enhancements of existing automation solutions – learn existing in-house digital solutions and products, formerly developed by technical teams and contractors. Take technical ownership for the systems and provide maintenance and support. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE: - Design, develop and deploy integrated automation solutions that connect and streamline processes across core business tools. - Take technical ownership of existing systems and solutions – evaluating architecture, addressing gaps, and evolving them into scalable, maintainable, and well-governed platforms. - Orchestrate AI driven workflows that gather data, analyze trends, and produce business outputs with traceability. - Deliver rapid, functional Proofs of Concept (POCs) within short 2‑ or 3‑week cycles – then mature the highest‑value prototypes into stable, maintainable outputs. - Act as a trusted technical partner, translating business needs and operational pain points into actionable solutions. - Serve as the technical liaison for internal teams and third‑party developers – providing architectural guidance that supports scalable, sustainable systems. Qualifications - A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field – or equivalent hands-on experience demonstrating strong capability in systems, automation, or integration. - 3 to 6 years of experience in software development or product management, including 1-3 years of designing, building, and maintaining automation or digital workflow solutions. - Proficiency with modern development languages such as Python and JavaScript, including experience with frameworks and runtime environments like React and Node.js. - Experience using GitHub for source control, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new languages, frameworks, and tools. - Practical experience working with APIs, system integrations, and cloud-based business platforms (for example, CRM and collaboration systems). - Experience with modern AI-assisted development tools (such as Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot) along with hands-on use of AI tools (LLMs, agent development, API to Agentic Frameworks). - Business acumen – an understanding of business concepts that will enable you to navigate conversations effectively and identify streamlining opportunities. - Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into clear technical requirements and practical solution designs. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – able to quickly understand existing processes and identify clear improvement opportunities. - A continuous-improvement mindset with a focus on using automation, data, and AI to streamline operations and remove friction. - High attention to detail and a commitment to producing maintainable, scalable, and high-quality technical solutions. - Strong communication skills – able to translate business needs into practical technical solutions and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Identify and solve high-impact “micro-problems” within the first six months – driving measurable improvements in workflow efficiency and team output. - A self-directed, curious, and proactive working style – comfortable operating independently in a fully remote environment while staying aligned with team goals. Benefits - Excellent compensation package. - Pension and medical benefits. - Learning and long-term advancement opportunities. - Work for a company that values People First, Integrity, Excellence, and Respect.
