OVERVIEW: We are looking for a detail-oriented Mortgage Broker Assistant to serve as the engine of our loan process, ensuring a seamless, stress-free experience for our clients from initial application through to settlement. RESPONSIBILITIES: - End-to-End Loan Processing: Manage the lifecycle of loan applications, including data entry into CRM systems and ensuring all submissions meet lender-specific requirements. - Compliance & Documentation: Review and verify client supporting documents (payslips, bank statements, tax returns) to ensure they meet Australian credit policy standards and Best Interest Duty (BID) obligations. - Lender Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact with banks and non-bank lenders to track application status, answer queries, and push files through to unconditional approval. - Client Communication: Provide proactive updates to clients and stakeholders (solicitors, real estate agents) to ensure a transparent and "pain-free" experience. - File Preparation: Prepare professional Loan Strategy Reports and compliance documents for Broker review. - Post-Settlement Support: Coordinate settlement logistics and manage post-settlement workflows, including client gifts and ongoing loan reviews.

Job Requirements

  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Industry Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Australian Mortgage Processing or Broker Support is mandatory.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Australian mortgage landscape, including lender niches, credit policies, and the First Home Buyer Grant landscape.
  • CRM Proficiency: Experience using industry-standard platforms (e.g., Mercury Nexus, Salestrekker, or similar).
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a focus on professional, empathetic client service.
  • Attention to Detail: A "zero-error" mindset when handling sensitive financial data and compliance paperwork.
  • PREFERRED SKILLS (nice to have):
  • Versatility: Experience with complex lending scenarios, such as SMSF loans, construction loans, or asset finance (car/equipment).
  • Proactive Problem Solving: The ability to pre-empt lender questions and solve potential valuation or serviceability issues before they arise.
