Program Overview The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) commands a fleet of C-17A Globemasters, the backbone of Australia's heavy lift capability. These aircraft operate relentlessly-24/7, 365 days a year-supporting critical missions both domestically and internationally. What You'll Own - Command Change Projects: Lead capability development and enhancement projects for the C-17A Enterprise, ensuring they meet strategic program objectives. - Define and Drive Initiatives: Establish project scope, timelines, budgets, and forecasts, while proactively identifying risks, issues, and opportunities to optimize outcomes. - Build Business Cases and Quotes: Develop compelling survey and quote proposals and business cases that deliver measurable value and meet capability demands. - Enforce Governance and Compliance: Implement project management best practices, lead decision briefs, and manage configuration control and Support System Change Boards to safeguard baseline integrity. - Communicate with Impact: Deliver clear, concise status reports to stakeholders, lead enterprise change management forums, and champion capability improvement initiatives. Who You Are - Project Management Qualifications (or equivalent experience) - Experienced in managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and baselines with precision. - Skilled at forging and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships within complex matrix environments involving internal and external stakeholders. - Adept at working within project management teams, supporting project and personnel development, resource allocation, processes, and tools. - Proficient in Microsoft Office, PLM Suite and Project Management Software. Preferred but not mandatory: - Experience within a Defence System Program Office. - Knowledge of aviation regulatory frameworks or a strong willingness to learn. - Experience working under ASDEFCON contracts. Security Requirements - Australian citizenship is mandatory to meet defence security protocols. - Ability to obtain NV1 security clearance is required. Location - RAAF Base Amberley.
