VP, Business Development
MedWatch, LLC
• Identifying and qualifying potential business opportunities • Acts as the initial point of contact for prospective clients • Engaging with them to listen and understand their needs • Introducing them to appropriate MedWatch products or services • Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospects, key clients and understand their goals, challenges, and opportunities • Meet key performance metrics (KPIs) for client success, ensuring achievement of targets related to client satisfaction, retention, and expansion • Evaluate leads generated from marketing campaigns to determine their potential as sales opportunities • Reach out to potential customers through current relationships with consultants, brokers and industry contacts as well as cold calling and emails • Build relationships and cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients • Must have a consultative approach to their sales • Serve as a client advocate, representing their interests and ensuring they derive maximum value from our solutions • Keep up-to-date with new products, services, and pricing/payment plans • Continue to manage / support and work with sold clients in coordination with MedWatch’s Account Managers
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
- 10 years plus of experience in a direct sales / account management role within the healthcare industry, preferably in an insurance self-funded/Third Party Administration environment working with consultants, brokers, Taft Hartley funds, employers and captives
- Demonstrated success in identifying qualified prospects, managing and growing client relationships, driving client satisfaction, and achieving revenue growth targets
- Possesses keen listening skills with the ability to understand potential clients' needs and offer appropriate solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable presenting MedWatch solutions to large and small groups in person and virtually
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, finalist presentations and national conferences
- Experience with conferences and booth duties
- Must have strong communication skills with the ability to handle difficult situations tactfully and diplomatically
- Must have current and active consultant, broker and industry relationships
- Strong understanding of healthcare industry trends, challenges, and regulatory requirements
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
