This role will see you provide civil drafting services using CAD for a wide variety of land, urban development and subdivision projects. Our projects span across local regions and the broader south-east of Australia. Specifically, your responsibilities will include: - Prepare civil engineering drawings and documentation using CAD software across all project phases - Develop designs through sketches, models and engineering input into detailed design drawings. - Review and revise documentation in various phases such as site plans, utility plan/profiles, grading plans, cross sections, diagrams, submittal reviews and response to information requests, internal reviews and client feedback as required. - Analyse drafting and design options; evaluate construction implications, prepare advanced drawings as well as interpret requirements to modify existing drawings per change control procedures. - Participate in the delivery of projects and ensure output is of a high standard and within time and cost budget allocations. - Coordinate submittals for clients, governmental agencies, permitting agencies, etc. for reviews, approvals, and other milestones. - Assist senior engineers/designers with developing and managing the project requirements including contributing to cost estimates, staffing and schedule as it relates to CAD. - Train and/or mentor junior CAD staff and entry-level engineers in company procedures, CAD standards, and software. - Collaborate closely with Stantec's Global Delivery Centre (Pune) to coordinate civil drafting tasks, ensuring timely, accurate and consistent project deliverables across international teams. About you To be successful you will display: - Demonstrated civil drafting experience within land, urban, road and subdivision projects, ideally in a consulting environment. - Strong demonstrated experience using CAD software. - Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D is advantageous but not essential. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. - Familiarity with local authority and state government standards, approvals and regulatory requirements - A commitment to self-improvement and continuing professional development. - Minimum of associate Degree or Diploma/Certificate in Civil Engineering Drafting or similar.
