Multimedia Producer, Podcast – Contract

• Align with stakeholders on business goals and strategy, ensure strategy is implemented in the content. • Lead the creative production by developing and managing a content calendar for recurring podcasts. • Pitch and develop innovative episode ideas that align with brand goals and editorial standards. • Write, edit, and/or fact-check compelling and engaging episode and video scripts and show notes that meet the needs of our target audience. • Monitor the production process, ensuring timely delivery of assets at every stage. • Collaborate with podcast hosts and strategists to coordinate and plan episode and video production. • Upload and distribute episode and video assets within various content management systems. • Produce multiple segments for each episode, including pull-cuts and forward-promotes. • Prepare and edit materials for interviews, videos, and episodes including booking and vetting guests. • Comprehensively edit and QC multiple versions of episode and video assets, including audio, scripts, and show notes, ensuring the content is accurate, clear and engaging to meet NerdWallet's editorial standards. • Audit systems and processes to identify areas for optimization.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of professional production experience in multimedia, podcast, or video production
- Proven experience producing video podcasts and using performance insights to inform content decisions
- Strong storytelling, writing, and editorial judgment, with attention to clarity and accuracy
- Experience producing video podcasts
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with podcasting tools, CMS platforms, and audio/video editing software (we use Riverside, Wordpress, Final Cut Pro)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams
- Comfort guiding hosts and guests during recordings with both technical and editorial support
- Curiosity about industry trends and audience engagement strategies

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $190,000 and $235,000 USD per Year.
