Company Description OUR NATIONAL CONVERSATION (OurNationalConversation.org, or ONC for short) is a nonpartisan political conversation site devoted to balanced and civil conversations designed to make America a better country. Republicans, Democrats and Independents –all are all welcome at ONC. Our motto: “Less hate, more debate.” Although some volunteers are on board, we're largely powered by Gen Z students – America’s future leaders – who produce articles, events, podcasts and more. Job Description We are looking for an Event Managers. Someone who can produce ads to announce events, manage our EventBrite page, moderate and coordinate the finer details leading up to virtual events. Our organization would like to host political discussions/debates, with the intention of gaining some traction. Unique ideas for events may be welcomed, as our group has about 50 student interns, monthly podcasts, and a social media page. Ideally we'd like to charge a modest fee for events. Potentially, events could expand to an in-person setting in the Los Angeles, CA area. This is an unpaid position, as we're applying for new grants this year. L.A. candidates preferred but others will be considered. Requirements: - 5-10 hours a week. We are completely remote - Use of Slack, Google Drive, EventBrite (or a similar platform) and Zoom (or willingness to learn) - Able to commit at least 6 months - Attend two (2) 40 minute zoom meetings weekly We look forward to hearing from you Qualifications Please include any links or attachments that showcase your experience.
