The Purchase Order & Production QC Coordinator manages the end-to-end lifecycle of purchase orders, from creation through final shipment, while ensuring production timelines and quality control standards are met. This role serves as a key operational link between factories, third-party quality control providers, and internal teams (Planning, Logistics, and Supply Chain). The coordinator is responsible for maintaining production flow, scheduling inspections, mitigating risks, and ensuring on-time, quality-approved shipments. Responsibilities: - Track and manage all open purchase orders from creation through shipment - Monitor PO timelines and escalate delays proactively - Adjust shipment schedules based on production status (advance, delay, or split shipments) - Communicate quantity changes and partial shipment plans - Maintain accurate and up-to-date PO trackers and production calendars - Liaise directly with factories to confirm production status and readiness - Validate production timelines and completion dates - Identify risks early and flag potential delays - Coordinate partial shipments when necessary to meet delivery goals - Schedule inspections with third-party QC providers (e.g., QIMA) - Ensure inspections are conducted upon production completion - Monitor QC portals, documentation, and follow-ups - Review inspection results (pass/fail) and manage resolution of failures - Approve shipments only after QC clearance - Communicate QC status to logistics and planning teams - Partner closely with Planning, Supply Chain, and Logistics teams - Provide clear updates on production status, risks, and shipment timelines - Align production capacity with forecasted demand - Escalate production or quality issues with actionable solutions

Job Requirements

  • 2–5+ years of experience in supply chain, production coordination, or PO management
  • Bilingual: Mandarin and English
  • Hands-on experience managing purchase orders from creation through shipment
  • Experience working directly with factories/manufacturers (overseas preferred)
  • Experience coordinating with third-party QC providers (QIMA or similar preferred)
  • Strong understanding of production tracking, timelines, and shipment coordination
  • Proven ability to identify risks and proactively resolve issues
  • Experience managing partial shipments and order adjustments
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (trackers, data accuracy, production calendars)
  • Familiarity with QC portals, inspection workflows, and documentation processes
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain flow (production → QC → logistics → shipment)
  • Ability to manage multiple POs and timelines simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills, especially with international factory partners

Role Description The Production Planner is responsible for aiding in the management of daily planning operations. This position will set production schedules, manage open work orders and oversee the full production cycle from incoming raw materials to quality control of finished goods. This salary range represents a general guideline as MSD considers other factors when presenting an offer of employment, such as scope and responsibilities of the position, external market factors, and the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, education and experience. Employees may qualify for a discretionary or non-discretionary bonus in addition to their base salary.
