Job Description Summary The Automation Deployment Lead is a recognized expert in robotics and automation responsible for coordinating the end-to-end build, integration, and commissioning of automation solutions across GE Vernova’s enterprise. This senior professional works cross-functionally with system integrators, site readiness teams, and technology architects to ensure seamless project execution and handover into operations. The Automation Deployment Leader manages timelines, budgets, and stakeholder alignment to deliver automation projects that meet rigorous performance, safety, and cybersecurity requirements. With deep expertise in industrial automation and formal program/project management, this role drives successful deployments in complex, large-scale environments. The Automation and Deployment leader is critical in shaping and directing GE Vernova’s global automation strategy through deep engagement in the shops and throughout the automation ecosystem. Job Description Essential Responsibilities: - Coordinate the build, integration, and commissioning activities for automation projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. - Lead and execute the development of project scope, schedules, deliverables, and integration requirements partnering with system integrators, internal technical teams, and site readiness leads to define - Drives all aspects of automation deployment—including installation, testing, validation, and transition to production—ensuring compliance with safety and cyber standards. - Manage risks, issues, and changes throughout the project lifecycle, providing proactive communication and quick resolution. - Track project performance against agreed KPIs, milestones, and budget, reporting regularly to the Director, Integration & Commissioning. - Establish and maintain documentation for project plans, technical specifications, commissioning checklists, and lessons learned. - Collaborate with technology architects to ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and fit for purpose. - Support vendor management and performance oversight during the build and commissioning phases. - Drive continuous improvement by ensuring post-project reviews and sharing best practices for automation deployment. - Foster strong working relationships with stakeholders across engineering, operations, safety, cybersecurity, and IT/OT functions. Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or related technical field plus 5+ years of experience building and deploying industrial automation solutions in large organizations. Associate's Degree in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or related technical field plus 10+ years of experience building and deploying industrial automation solutions in large organizations. - Expert in successfully managing large, complex automation projects from design through commissioning. - Expert knowledge in automation architectures, safety standards, and cybersecurity requirements in industrial settings. - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent collaboration, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement abilities. - Superior communication skills, both written and verbal. - Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
