Qualifications - You are comfortable scripting in JavaScript for n8n Function nodes or have equivalent experience (foundational programming skills, Python experience, etc.). - You have experience with automation/orchestration tools like n8n, Zapier, Make, etc. - You are comfortable integrating SaaS tools and internal systems via APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and event-driven patterns. - You are proficient with APIs and data manipulation: JSON, REST, SQL for joins/aggregations, and the occasional regex. - Experience with prompt engineering and building AI Agents is a plus. - You are a strong communicator who can explain trade-offs to both business and engineering stakeholders and create concise documentation/playbooks. - You enjoy working in an international environment and you are fluent in English (C1); good German skills (B2) are a plus. The role focuses on building ingestion pipelines and the volume configuration generator, eliminating manual engineering labor by automating the extraction of legacy data and generating hundreds of site-specific network configurations. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about creating bulletproof Python pipelines and turning chaotic spreadsheets into automated, production-ready deployments. Responsibilities - Build an ingestion pipeline to extract, transform, and load data from legacy systems, CMDBs, and network probes into a centralized staging database - Standardize and normalize data across multiple heterogeneous sources to ensure consistency and usability - Develop and maintain a configuration engine using Python and Ansible to manage network parameters (IPs, VLANs, hostnames) - Integrate master database values into Jinja2 templates to generate standardized configuration outputs - Automate the generation of site-specific configuration files to support deployment and cutover activities - Enable scalable configuration generation to support high-volume rollout scenarios - Maintain and monitor Transition State Machine (TSM) data pipelines to ensure stability during design and deployment phases Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in Network Automation, ETL development, and Data Engineering - Advanced proficiency in Python, Ansible, and SQL - Deep experience with templating languages, like Jinja2, Mako, Cheetah3, and Genshi, to automate configuration generation at scale - Strong ability to interact with REST APIs and parse unstructured data formats (JSON, XML, CSV) from legacy monitoring tools and databases. - Familiarity with infrastructure data points (IP addresses, subnets, MAC addresses).
