Associate Construction Manager
VSP Vision Care
• Responsible for the coordination and management of small to medium-sized facility construction projects for the company campus, labs, and locations • Plans and manages work performed by contractors and consultants, and provides general management of construction-related jobs • Manage, direct, and coordinate construction projects for the company campus, labs, and locations • Oversees scope development, design, implementation, schedule, budget, safety, and client satisfaction on proposed projects • Responsible for delivering the project to the client in compliance with all contractual requirements and in accordance with Federal, State, and local law requirements • Create and maintain all project documentation, including written scopes of work; project drawings (often prepared by others); contracts; schedules; change order logs; weekly project meeting minutes; and all project correspondence • Provide project budget estimates for building and site work on proposed projects • Coordinate activities of all stakeholders, including clients, internal partners, designers, contractors, and authorities having jurisdiction throughout the project life cycle • Manage the project financial process, including estimates, bidding, PO’s, and close-out • Field verification of work being undertaken to ensure full compliance with all relevant standards, e.g., contract documents, specifications, method statements, client policy, procedures, and Federal, State, and local law requirements • Monitor the performance of suppliers and subcontractors to determine compliance with contractual obligations • Escalate issues arising from disputes or sub-standard performance • Responsible for project close-out and reporting
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 2+ years’ experience with facilities construction projects in trades and/or coordination of work
- Knowledge of the basic terms, practices, and procedures used in corporate facilities management
- Must be available for a modified work shift, evenings, and weekends
- Basic knowledge of estimating, bidding, and managing construction contracts
- Ability to communicate and coordinate activities of multiple disciplines in the field
- Basic knowledge of the space planning process and project life cycle
- Ability to read construction documents, including scopes of work, and to write clear scopes of work
- Computer skills using MS Office and email
- Ability to adhere/respond to established time frames and schedules, ability to work under pressure
- Ability to travel occasionally (10-15%) to manage remote projects

Work Hours - 8:30 am - 5:00 pm PST Job Summary Field based support to LifeVest reimbursement efforts by working collaboratively with partnered Territory Managers, ZOLL customers, National Accounts and reimbursement operations personnel to assist with reimbursement/managed care-oriented activities.
